Paraban is commonly found in self hygiene, pharmaceticual products, and food products. Paraban acts like estrogen as it produces feminizing aspects in men when levels become higher than normal.

Paraban also commonly appears as labels under the following names: methylparaban, propylparaban, ethylparaben, benzylparaban.

Self Hygiene products that may contain this chemical are:
-Soaps and toothpastes
-shampoos & conditioners
-hair styling and skin products
-anti-perspitant
-lotions & creams
-sunscreens

Food products:
-salad dressing
-marinated fish products
-mayonnaise
-mustard
-spiced sauces
-processed vegetables
-frozen dairy products
-jams & jellies
-soft drinks and friut juices
-baked goods and candy

I found this information in Muscle & Fitness in an article by Dwayne Jackson PH.D. It seems kinda interesting to me and looking at some products that I use on a daily basis I found two that contain this paraban chemical althout it was under the name of ethylparaban, needless to say I will no longer be using them. The reason this article interested me was I'm currently taking propecia and I am concerned about estrogen levels so when people are taking a drug it's important to remeber that if and when side effects happen it could be alot of other factors that caused them or intesifed them or it could be the persons natural reaction to the drug.

This is something I've suspected for years. But I had no idea about Paraban. Thanks for the information.
