Before I became a dedicated DE shaver, I used the headblade with good results. As good as can be expected with a cartridge anyway!

Once I got my DE technique down, I went straight for the head. The DE is one fine shaver for the ol' brain bucket!.
I found with an SS it usually took 3 passes and some touch up, but over all a great shave. I then had a brain storm and ordered a long handle Slant. WOW

What a difference!! 2 passes and your head will be slick as an Eeel!!! I have actually had folks come up to me and ask if I have my head shaved by a Barber...It really is that close a shave!

Personally, I like the chilly sensation of menthol while head shaving. Prorasso does a fine job, but if you want a bone chilling shave, you HAVE to order up some Tryphon Permafrost. Followed by a splash of Osage Rub and you will have a nice chilly head for about an hour! Great for summer shaves.

I have since tried a Str8 and a Rolls, but neither came close to the Slant.

Hope this helps. Feel free to ask me all the questions you want. I've been a headshaver for over 10 years.

Kind Regard

I guess this is one of those that we don't know what it's gonna look like until we try it.

I am not looking forward to the day I have to shave, I don't think I have the skull for shaving.

However, for the last 3-4 years I keep cutting my hair shorter and shorter. At this rate I will probably get a buzz cut in the next 12-24 months.

Hey clean, welcome to the forum! It's good to hear more about this option for hair loss that is by far the cheapest solution there is for us bald guys, especially for those who are nw5 and up like me. I use the clippers on 0 as short as it goes as I am still attached to the stubble look, but I might start switching it up with the razor. Your advice is good and also kinda unheard of on the forums as most people here still have most of their hair and are using a ton of products/meds to combat it (to little avail imo) so it is refreshing to hear from someone who is approaching hair loss from an acceptance pov. We should post pics of our freshly shaven heads. Thanks for the post!

I recently shaved off my head and its awesome sadly after 2 weeks the stubble came thru and it just shows the hair loss worser frankly (am Norwood 2.5-3)

Its proberly alot better to shave every 2-3 weeks frankly... or the blade aint tried the blade yet but id bet that would mean 1 blade shave per month at most !

It feels fantastic and amazing frankly... u dont have any hassle or maintainence at all :)

But I only did it cos just didnt like hair loss towards the end, takes a bit of time for friends and family and work to get use to it but once its done its the norm like !

Maybe if the treatments work ill have hair in 6-12 months time :)
