Hello everyone I am new here. This may look like a long post, but please read my story and try to help me out. Unfortunately I am also suffering from hair loss at the young age of 22. Like most of you I am afraid of losing my hair and I am trying to find a solution to my problem. I wanted to start taking propecia, but it is just way too expensive for my budget. So i've looked online for cheaper generic finasteride. I've read many threads about online pharmacies sending out fake pills in place of what you really wanted to order.

I just recieved my order from XXXXXXXX.com of Finasteride. Im pretty concerned about a couple of things. For starters I saw a post on another forum about XXXXXXXXX, about an email that was sent to that person, trying to analyze and see if they were legit or not. This is something that may point out that they are fake:

Here is the email from the other user on this forum from this thread (http://hair-restoration-info.com/eve/fo ... 8011029863):

"From XXXXXXXXXX:[*]
Dear ‘my name’,
Thank you for ordering with XXXXXXXXX.
May I start by saying that we take our clients very seriously and I will personally make sure you will receive the best service.
I would also like to point out that, although there are many cheaper versions of generic drugs available, we still choose to offer only the best Generic Propecia, which is manufactured by Aurochem Lab or Cipla, depending on Availability or shipping location, and is well known and recognized with FDA approval for its facilities and mutual manufacturing agreements.
The generic Finasteride 1Mg you received is identical to Propecia.
Finasteride
Aurochem Lab
Aurofina-1
We can also provide COA (Certificate of Analysis) for the drug you ordered.
Each batch manufactured for Generic4All receives a COA (actual certificate) from a third party, independent from both XXXXXXXX and the manufacturer.
If for some reason you are not happy with your order we can send you again the very same drug from a totally different manufacturer.
We have opened a support ticket for your order and should you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to contact me anytime.
Best Regards,
Carla David

Generic4all gave me a standard response (they must give this response to everyone as its also posted on the other forum). Their above response & their website both confirm that the generic Propecia will be made by either Cipla (who produce Finpecia) or Aurochem Labs (which product Aurofina-1), so they are not hiding anything there."

Ok, now look at the email I recieved when I emailed XXXXXXXXX :

"Hello,

Thank you for contacting XXXXXXXX.

All our generic drugs are coming from very reputable manufacturers that actually manufacture for the brand name drugs.

We can also provide COA (Certificate of Analysis) for the drug you order.

Each batch manufactured for Generic4All receives a COA (actual certificate) from a third party, independent from both XXXXXXXX and the manufacturer.

We are currently processing your order and you will receive a shipping confirmation email from our shipping department as soon as it has been send.

The average delivery time with regular airmail to the US is 14 business days but in most cases it is a lot faster.

Should you have any more questions, please do not hesitate to contact me anytime.

Same last name, kinda odd.

That is suspicious enough to me. On top of that I received my pills in an envelope with the pill strips inside. The pills supposedly came from:

Stefan Lerner
PO Box 705
Victoria, Mahe
Republic of Seychelles

Also I did not recieve Aurofina 1 from Aurochem Lab, I recieved pills of Finpecia from Cipla, and a little slip of paper containing information about Finpecia and its dosage and side effects etc. The pills themselves look pretty real to me, ive never taken any hair loss treatment drug before, but because I am losing hair at an early age Im trying to find a solution to my problem the cheapest way possible.

Do you guys think I should take these pills anyways? If it is actually Finpecia, then it should work since Finpecia has been proven to work, but the funny emails and funny packaging have me hesitating... The Finpecia did not come in a box either. Here are some pics of the packaging.

If any of you have any suggesttions or info about XXXXXXXX, or the finpecia, please reply to this post and let us all know. Im sure there are many people out there wondering if XXXXXXXXX.com is a trust worthy site and if pills in packaging like this should even be taken.

Also, can anyone recommend a trust worthy site that I could order Finpecia or any other generic finasteride from? Any information would be much appreciated. Thank you very much.

Hi and welcome,

The best place to obtain your meds is from your Doctor. That is the only way to be sure that what you are getting is lgeit.

I feel they are legit as I take finpecia too and the strips look familiar. I too was worried but one of the members over here pointed out that because finasteride is cheap to make, making fake finasteride which looks realistic would actually cost more than the real deal.

that kinda makes sense to me cause generic finasteride is cheap compared to propecia.

Well, its good to hear that finpecia should work, i hope it does. I have started taking them since yesterday.

Also a quick update, apparently XXXXXXXXXX.com called me in regards to my worries about the medication i recieved. The phone call sounded pretty legit from what I can tell, letting me know that they switched from aurofina 1 to finpecia as their main supplier. The phone call sounded pretty legit to me so hopefully everything works out and I stop the hair loss and probably get some hair back in a couple of months :)

Heres an update to everything thats been going on. I received an email from customer service, and apparently they've been watching my threads that ive been posting on the internet pretty closely. Anyways, heres the email:

Dear Brian,

Thank you for your answer.

I have tried to call you again today, but I guess you were not able to take my call.

Brian, we of course would love to have you as our customer and this for many years to come.

We are as I have told you many times before a responsible pharmacy with an exceptional customer service that provides more than just a job.

I have no worries at all that the medication you received and are taking will not fulfill the effect it is supposed to do and that you will end up as one of our many customers.

I have tried to explain to you before that the medication you received is genuine and if there are more questions or concerns about it, so please refer as well to their home page.

http://www.cipla.com/

In the section of hormone related drugs you will find also your received pills.

http://www.cipla.com/admin.php?mode=cat ... 2&catid=59

The mere fact that you have not lost any hair so far is indeed a sign that the medication is working and you should in a few months from now also be able to gain hair growth again.

What is a bit upsetting in this whole situation Brian, and I will be straight forward with you is that we are really trying every day our best to please and serve our customers and really do take the extra step and that while I oversee the customer service and support it also hurts me personally to see your public opinion and entries.

Do not get me wrong, I absolutely support an open discussion and I do believe after many years of experience that this is in the end the best way to go. But I do find quite a few of your posts very unfair and not right.

You are writing in your first post, with all the attached pictures:

I have explained you that we have changed the main manufacturer to be Cipla and this is exactly what we indicate on our webpage as well. We have taken this step, simply as Cipla is the better manufacturer and has a lot of reputation. Finpacia is by far more expensive than Aurechom Laboratories Finasteride, so if we weren't genuine, why would we send you a medication that is the more expensive one. I mean, a company that really would not care would probably send you the cheaper version to gain more profit, right?

Then you say we have funny emails and packaging. Well, the emails I explained you are drafts that we use and we change and adjust them to the individual customers enquiry, but they are definitely not just a copy & paste work. How else would we have known that it was you who wrote the post?

And the packaging is also funny you say. How would you like it wrapped? In a plastic bag with tape? When you go to a pharmacy – how do you receive your medication? Each pill single wrapped in a blister package with the leaflet and the expiration date. Yes, the box is missing, but when you ship the carton box (wich is just made for marketing and storage purposes) the shipping cost will be higher and will in the end charge customers for shipping as well. So what would you prefer? No shipping cost and saving you $ 12.00 US or a nice carton box that ends up in the garbage anyway?

On another entry you say:

How legitimate can a phone call be? What would I have to do in order to show you that we are genuine?

Also, there was another entry of your in this forum I saw:

Well, I think it is only fair not to come to any pre-conclusions and also to solve this situation, as we really do want to serve you and as I said before we would love to have you as a returning customer for many years to come.

I would like to ask you please take off the post that are really aggressive and if not to maybe post my answers here in this email, just out of fairness.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Andy Williams

Hi Andy, I am replying to you via email after receiving your message on my phone. I have been taking the Finpecia that was sent to me since October 27th, and so far I have not noticed anything different. I am aware that it may take at least 3 months to see some form of regrowth in the hair follicles, but so far I have not noticed any signs of improvement. Hopefully by February and into March I will see signs of regrowth in my hair. I am hopeful that the Finpecia that was sent to me is indeed real, and that I do benefit from it because ultimately that would mean that I would continue ordering it from your website. On the other hand if I see no signs of improvement then I really dont have any reason to continue ordering from your Online Pharmacy and I will look elsewhere for help. I seriously hope for my sake that the pills that were sent to me were indeed real, because I have read several stories online about drugs that are absolute fakes. I know that it is impossible for you to prove to me that the pills that I have in my possession are actually the real drug, but I have no choice at this point other than to take them and hope for the best. If I actually do start seeing results with the finpecia provided I will gladly let a lot of people know that your drugs are indeed the real thing.

It probably is not fair for me to attack them the way I have been, but until I see some results if I am fortunate enough I can only hope that the pills were real. After receiving PM's from other members here about this situation and how they explain to me that they feel the same way I do, its only natural for me to have the fear that the pills were actually fake because it is a very serious situation. I will continue to update my progress with the finpecia provided and will gladly apologize to the "website" where I got them from if I things go well for me. Until then anybody reading this information can take it for what its worth.

Damn you're being a real douche to them even though they're going to extreme lengths to help you.

Just because the finasteride might not work for you doesn't mean it's fake, finasteride doesn't work for many people. Simply put there are no guarantees with that drug.

$tackz: its not about me being a douche, its about ultimately getting ripped off and if I feel suspicious about something u bet damn well im gonna act accordingly. so dont try and make me sound like the bad guy just bcuz protecting myself. If that bothers u then i really dont care.

hairlin: i will pm u the place i bought the finpecia from since it keeps getting censored here for some reason.
