Hi Guys,

Im a 26 year old male who is balding badly as you can see from the enclosed pic. I need you help/advise on the best way to combat this??

I am currently 1 week into the following regime: - 1mg finasteride EOD (M, W, F) and nizoral (T, Th, S).

What else should I be doing?

Rogaine 5% twice a day for regrowth. Take finasteride every day. Stick to that regime. They work best in the crown/vertex so you shoud be fine.

Yeah, if you're not taking finasteride every day, don't bother taking it at all. same thing with Min which you should definately take since it's best for regrowth. finasteride will maintain and regrow some in lucky ones, but at your stage of hairloss, you need all guns blazing (llikely).

Thanks guys.

Do you think there's hope for me or is my hairloss too far gone? I would love enough regrowth to at least cover the bald spot at the crown!!

There is always hope. Seems like the guys with dark hair and diffuse thinning seem to do the best with treatments. Don't take my word for it, its just what the results have been on some of the ppl on this site. With that said balding sucks, go to the gym, get lean and mean, buzz your head, and no one will say anything. Don't expect to much and be disappointed. Dont expect anything, and be surprised or happy you tried. Looks like in 5 years or so a balding answer will show up anyway.

Isn't there study that says 0.15mg is almost as effective as 1mg on reducing scalp DHT but that it reduces blood DHt much less so it's lots better to take 0.15mg daily than 1mg.

what was the halflife of this drug?

I'm not sure, I've heard that in some cases people responded as well with very small dosages like that in comparison with 5mg and than 1mg was the average dosage that looked to be what people were responding to. The only thing that would conclude though is that some people may not need the full 1mg but nothing to do with not taking it daily.

I could be wrong, that's just the way I remeber..I think it might have been bryan who posted it here where I read it though.

I have read a few post on this subject and it seems to be of much debate, I orginally started taking finasteride EOD as I was concerned about sides, but been taking it everyday now for a week and so far so good. If the sides do appear I think I will revert back to EOD.

What dosage do you guys take and when do you usually have get the sides, if you do?

Also, I have read a few posts about how bad minoxidil makes you hair feel and look, due to my job (office) I need to look presentable at all times so would it be OK just to use it at night before I go to bed...I am assuming this will obviously hinder its effectiveness.

Save your self a ton of time and money and just get on Xandrox plus. I have tried everything and this stuff is the answer for me and my friends. If you're not happy with using it 6 months from now I'll give you my address and you can punch me in the face.

What it this product? Do people recommend it better than minoxidil 5%?

If other people recommend 5% then they have no idea what they're talking about and have never used Xandrox. I have tried absolutely everything and Xandrox gave me way way way beyond what I was expecting. My hair is insane now. If you use it properly 1 bottle will last 2-3 months. its about 90-100 bucks a bottle. It may seem expensive but its alot cheaper then trying everything else that just doesn't work.

Hi there, I will only stick with what's been proven to work. Go with finasteride (propecia or 1/4 proscar everyday), Nizoral and maybe minoxidil if you don't mind the hassle.

Think about it, if some miracle drugs for hair growth are created, why is it only talked about in a forum but not on the front page of every news publication in the world?

This is not directed to KielMck, but his comment of "insane hair" regrowth sounds outright dubious.

Anyways, good luck regrowing what you lose.

edit: Xandrox seems to be minoxidil 15% with some finasteride in it?

Xandrox is minoxidil with two other ingredients that stop DHT from hitting your scalp. Me and my friends call it hair crack because it is like using steroids for your hair. If you want to get your hair back and know you're doin everything you can to get it back then use this sh*t.

Keep a steady daily dose of finasteride(1/5 of a proscar pill) as long as you have no side-effects. A steady daily dose of minoxidil 5%. Use Nizoral 2-3 times a week. Take a pic of your scalp. Give it 12 months. Don't change a thing.

If the idea of a 15% minoxidil concentration turns you on, use three times more of the usual stuff. I would say, start small and keep something for later. This will have to go on for as long as you want to keep your results.

Oh, of course there is hope. Some people, as you will find out, respond impressively well.

Good luck.

I'm telling you right now that if you start off strong you will get all your hair back faster and stronger. There is no point in waiting for the strong stuff later. Here is a pic of my hair last week.

So what next? Start comparing hairlines? You have nothing to go to when your treatment fails you. I have Xandrox.

Seriously now, where do you base the following kind of prophecies?

I do not mean to bash Xandrox nor your enthusiasm. Just try to keep things under proportion. According to your approach he should start taking dutasteride too.

I've heard horror stories on dutasteride.

I have tried everything and gotten some horrible side effects from certain meds. Myself and a few of my friends who are using Xandrox have gotten a whole lot of hair back, haven't had any side effects and are feelin pretty good about life. Two of my friends don't even use propecia and I am planning on getting off propecia and seeing if my hair continues to grow.

We all come on here looking for hope... I know I once did. If I saw a story like mine I would have a whole lot of hope. Look at all my threads in the past. I'm not just some guy coming on here to sell something or to get people on a random drug that won't work to make myself feel better.

I am a pretty established and well known designer who doesn't my throwing a bit of image away by trying to help young guys find the best approach to getting their hair back without dropping a whole lot of money on stuff that just doesn't produce great results.
