Me today: https://imgur.com/a/1GJMb Me a year ago: https://imgur.com/a/pfFvv Me at 16: https://imgur.com/a/ESa76

Does it look like I'm balding? My father's side of the family has no signs of balding whatsoever. My paternal grandfather is in his 90's and still has a full head of hair. Same with my father and his brothers. My mom's side, however, does have male pattern baldness. My mom's hair is thin and all of her brothers have male pattern baldness. Her father was also completely bald before he died at 76. One of her brothers is in his mid 60s and is completely bald and the other is a Norwood 4/5 at 50.

When I was in HS, I used to notice ALOT of shedding. Like whenever I used to wakeup, my pillow would have alot of hairs. Now the shedding has stopped for a couple of years. Also, at this point, I did notice my hairline move back a bit (look at my pic when I was 16). I also feel like my left temple is alot weaker than my right temple, but when I was a little kid the hair from my left temple would also come downward, whereas the hair on my right side came out towards the back of my head (if that makes sense).

Also, I was thinking of going to a dermatologist or a hair loss specialist for a consultation. Which one would be the better choice? I always seem to hear a dermatologist recommendation more often, even though you would think a hair loss specialist would be a better choice no?

Also note: the camera I used a year ago was pretty bad. The newer one is a lot better.

Im baffled by some of the people that post on here asking if they are balding! You literally have zero hair loss, a full head of hair. Norwood 0. Your hair looks very thick too. I can understand the worry because of your mothers family history. Im not saying you wont ever be bald, but right now you have a fuller head of hair than most men, just look around you and you will see what i mean.

Hair looks overall normal, hairline is a bit sketchy imo but still at a point where I personally can't make any conclusive opinion on it. Keep an eye out on the thin hairs on your hairline

Dude you're 22 and have a childs hairline still. Its natural to lose your corners between the ages of 18-early twenties, to develop a more 'mature' hairline - you however have not even experienced this

You don't have any hair loss at all. You have the hairline of a 12 year old. Enjoy life and stop worrying about your hair.

I get what you're saying but doesn't it look like my hairline is thinning? Atleast from when I compare my current hairline with the pics from a year ago.

No it does not look like its thinning. The smaller hairs that you are seeing are usually only present on female hair lines. When a boys hairline changes into a mans these hairs fall out and give a straight hair line rather than a round one like you have right now. Those little hairs will likely disappear in time but that is not balding at all. You aren't even on the norwood scale dude, chill out a bit haha

That's what I noticed too. My hairline from a year ago was thicker.

My hairline has changed I believe. When I was in high school my hairline was lower on my head. But yeah, I do understand what you're saying. Thanks for the help.
