Hi everyone, I’m not gonna talk much, but I have always had thinning hair , but not as bad as It’s now! I’m shedding so much hair more than ever all over my scalp and my hair left on my head is way less I checked at the Dermatologist and she assured that it’s “ male pattern baldness “ and i knew it , but what stressing me out that the shedding has increased like x4 . She prescribed me minoxidil 5% twice/day, caffeine-containing shampoo and anti-dandruff shampoo .. but I haven’t started yet what should I do? If I start the minoxidil, will i ever get full thick hair? Knowing that I don’t have receding hairlines , but it’s happening all over my head .
Check the pics
max period between better >> worse is within a year! And sometimes a few month
Thank u guys :(

update : 18/11
I’m on finasteride since 45 days 1mg/day
Nizoral x1 weekly
Caffeine & saw palmetto-containing shampoo

and I decided to get my hair buzzed to see how it’d look on me.

I took a pic at the same place where i took the first one 2 months ago.. do you think i got any thickness or the drug started to work? I know that i takes months to start noticing any progress... this is why I’m giving it a few months and then I’ll decide .

thank u !

that 1st pic shows that you will be a norwood 7 in the future.

Minoxidil wont help on its own, get on Finasteride too. Both work good together

Hop on finasteride and minoxidil ASAP and yes you'll most likely have thick hair again and you're lucky because you have a great hairline.

Precisely. You only need to get back some of that thinning garbage to look good, hairline is the key.

Good news: Your hairline is 100% intact which is pretty uncommon for most with genetic male pattern baldness.

Bad news: Noticeable diffuse thinning pretty much everywhere in a NW6 or 7 pattern.

Look into big 3 treatment.

Thank u bro , I’m still hesitated to start finasteride as you know about the possible side effects, if you have any experience with it , plz tell me.
Another question, after applying both minoxidil and finasteride, is it guaranteed that my hair would look normal?

No man, there no guarantees that it will get you back to where your hair used to be, there are no guarantees that you won't have any sides from fina (or minoxidil) and so on. There are good chances that your hair will improve on the big 3. Make sure you understand the risks and be aware of any changes that might occur in your body; don't ignore them. No action is a guarantee of absolutely bald in a NW7 shortly but don't jist hop and jump on treatments without understanding the mechanism, the risks, the benefits.

No, I haven't used it but people on these forums have had great success with very minimal side effects.

Either you want to save your hair or you don’t, imagine how your going to feel nw7 vs minor side effects that may or may not happen and will go away if they are bad and you discontinue. I wouldn’t add minoxidil till your on finasteride 1 year and see what results you get

It very well could minoxidil usually makes things worse from what I read, your hairs similar to another poster I forget his name but he was middle eastern too and had the same diffuse hair loss and literally got almost all density back within a year. Hope you have similar results

After one year you can add minoxidil if you want and thinks haven’t improved but your hairline is good and minoxidil could ruin that, plus it literally destroys your skin. Finasteride works inside out and as far as looks go it only has positives for hair and skin. Just start working out on finasteride to keep muscle mass up and it’ll negate sides too.

Thanks buddy , im just afraid that finasteride won’t be enough and if i wait a year things may get worse and it’s late to start minoxidil! But I’ll start finasteride so soon and see how things will go ... what about your experience with hair loss and finasteride or minoxidil?
