Help! Please tell me what you think!

Hey! I'm new to the forum and am really looking for advice more than anything on what to do with my hair style-wise. I've done quite a bit of research on many of the available treatments out there and will help as many others out on this forum.

In the meantime I'm very unhappy with my current style...I posted some pictures last night and need advice!

My hair is similar, though not quite as thinned out in the front. That's my path, though. Your crown area looks better than mine.

I would definitely get on an anti-androgen to stop further loss, and possibly reverse some. RU58841 or CB-03-01 look like very promising topicals, and I plan on getting on one soon, but they are both expensive. These are unproven and not FDA approved, though. Finasteride is probably the best place to start, but be wary of the potential side effects. I had to stop taking it.

Nizoral 2% twice a week will help as well. It is a proven anti-androgen.

minoxidil could help with regrowth.

finasteride+minoxidil+nizoral are the "big 3", as they are the only proven hair loss treatments. Most start there, and then branch off for one reason or another. Some have had amazing results on them.

Just my opinion:
-too thick on the sides-you could cut it shorter(that hair also grows faster); that thick hair on the sides contrasts with the hair in front making it appear thinner
-too long at the front
Also you could think about the shampoo you use: it gives hair too much volume and raises the individual hairs too much. This makes the hair in front appear thinner. You don't need volume there, a more flat hair there, maybe combed back, would look better, in my opinion.
Anyway, i think an overall shorter cut will suit better the hair in front. But here you do how you like.
