Help. Proscar wannabe--but first, a few questions...

I recently decided to take the plunge and try Proscar—despite my apprehensions. Up till now, I’ve experienced excellent results from merely using Rogaine 2% for maintenance for 5 or 6 years. However, my hair loss has accelerated at a quickening pace recently, most likely from a horrible diet (lack of protein) a couple months back. Anyway, I don’t want to wait and see how worse I’m going to get so I figured I should try Proscar in addition to using Rogaine. However, I have a few questions...

1) I would rather not get a prescription so what would be a good online pharmacy that doesn't require one? I seen several mentioned on the boards, but does anyone have experience with unitedpharmacies.com?

2) If I did get a prescription, would it be a lot cheaper in the long run because of the greater number of choices for the best price?

3) Do I have to go to a dermatologist to get a prescription?

David, I am just learning the ropes here, but I think the cheapest quickest way is -as always- the "wrong" way.

I cannot provide a link(as I live in Greece), but I think that bypassing the derm thing would be cheaper and quicker in the long run.

We need more input here though.

I personally had great success with http://www.cybermedicinestore.com. They sell the most well known generics (Cipla) for the cheapest price, they don't require a prescription, and delivery times were very short.... I believe exactly two weeks. Do a forum search to find more opinions.

BTW, they've recently changed their site to http://www.popularchemist.com and once again are able to accept credit cards, either Visa or Mastercard.
