What is this? What can I do about this? Losing hair only on one side?

Use finasteride.

With finasteride do you have to use it constantly? What happens if you stop?

You have to use 1mg daily. If you stop your hair will go back to what it would have been had you never used finasteride. Beware though, if you use it for years and stop, lose alot of hair and restart you will not recover that hair. It is used to maintain what you have, not necessarily regrow. That is minoxidil's job.
