I'm currently 22 years old, few months until i'm 23, and I've been experiencing some pretty bad receding hairline.

I read some topics in this section before posting, but I want to get the people's opinion about it. How bad is it, and is there any hope of saving me? :\

Sucks just talking about it, but I want help, and I want to do something about it! :D

All help is appreciated!

just start finasteride 1mg or 1.25mg daily, minoxidil daily or twice daily, and nizoral shampoo 1% or 2% concentration twice weekly (no more than twice weekly or it will be bad for your hair)

this is probably all you need for maintaining what you have and possibly regrowth

It's not impossible with the regimen zzzzz told you to start, 3 years isn't a long time.
No one can know how you will react to treatment though, some people have good regrowth, some don't. But you're almost sure to maintain for many years with finasteride and minoxidil.

Take baseline pictures from every angle, be consistent with this regimen and take the same pictures after six months and a year to compare. Good luck !

As the people over here said, finasteride, minoxidil and nizoral. but if you realistically want to get back your hairline, hair transplant is the only way to go. unless you are an axeptionally good responder. but i would first of all get started with the big 3 asap and see if your hair loss stabilizes or regrows first, then go the hair transplant route.

What is hair transplant again?

the areas that are totally bald like most of your temples will not grow back on any sort of medication most likely, even the strongest ones such as oral spironolactone

medication will regrow your island at the front to normal density if you are a good responder

Wow, why would someone think about treating hair loss so late.

If I got to that stage with meds, I'd stop using them.

Well bro, pretty much what they said... get on the big 3. In about a year or so, you should pretty much know if you've gotten any regrowth. At the very least you should maintain. However, I would suggest getting a buzzcut in the meantime. Long hair with receded corners/temples and thinning in the front isn't a flattering style. If I had to make an educated guess here, I would say you're a 5A pattern on the Norwood scale due to the thinning in your central forelock and the direction in which your corners are receded. You will look like this when your balding has reached it's final stage:

There is some good news, though. Men that bald in the A pattern, usually less than 10 percent of the population, may look a lot balder than some because it's mostly in the front. The good news is that you will never have that giant bald patch that cascades down to the back of your dome. So, you'll not only have more donor hair, but also less scalp to cover when it comes to getting a transplant. Now, it might be expensive, but you can get really nice results from a hair transplant if you're balding in the A pattern. You can get a nice hairline, and solid coverage. This picture below is the very same guy from the photo above after his hair transplant.
