I think he's trying to be funny. There are some questions that should probably be answered.

Do you have a family history of male pattern baldness?
Did it occur suddenly, or has it gotten the way it is slowly over time?

There's more questions, but i can't think of them at the moment. Most people recommend at least taking Finasteride (propecia, proscar or a generic form) to try and maintain the hair that you have now.

Other options if you'd rather do topicals are revivogen and spironolactone twice a day.

If you're interested in regrowth you can use minoxidil (rogaine).

Yes, I was just joking, most of us here have bald areas, so a full head of hair is not such a big deal. I believe if you start your big three you will be fine. See a doctor and get the scoop, have your hormones checked,

You are still in a very favorable condition unlike me and many others.

the hairloss is hard for me to comprehend so i appoligize for being a little jumpy Redbone, and garthbrooks no hairloss in family my brother has more hair than he knows what to do with. It happened all of a sudden with months i'd say. I remember aving a really bad ser derm outbreak where my barber told me to go see a doctor but i ignored it because of my full hair and after that this happened and this was last year. I had scalp pain to the point that it would hurt to put my head on a pillow and my scalp is always fukin red, not from the sun cause i always wear a hat out. I finally went to the derm 3 months a ago and he said it could be from ser derm because i have thinning on sides as well, but my patients is running out i need to know what its from. The hairloss on top of my head looks like a T shape, look at the pic that says T shape in my pics, if you pay attention without clicking on the pic thumbnail you can see it, what the heck is that?

T shape? Is this like one of those picture doodads they used to have at the mall where you have to stare at it for a while before the image becomes clear?

Maybe your hair is just cut extra short in that area? Hmmm... does your barber's name begins with a T? Or maybe it's where the Vulcans attached their "T Prong" to you that last time you got abducted?

Kidding bud. But, your hair is so short and you appear to have good coverage in the typical male pattern baldness areas that it is just very very hard to see what you are worried about? Do you have any pix of you with longer hair that might be more illuminating? Your top hair does seem a little diffuse, but it is very hard to tell if it is diffuse coverage or not from these pix?

Looks to me like you would be a pretty good candidate to regrow most of that back with a little time

I don't know what ser. derm is. I'm assuming you had it taken care of though cause your scalp doesn't appear red. I would look up information on line regarding whatever that condition is, and see if people had hair loss, if it subsided, or if it was permanent. In terms of hairloss in your family you should be looking at father, uncles, grandfathers, etc. If any of them have it you could have it. Sometimes it gets triggered early in people.

I had a friend who had a similar diffuse look. It came very quickly (within a year), but he didn't have anything that triggered it to my knowledge. I just figured it was male pattern baldness setting in real early. (he was 17-18). It finally kinda stopped, and i think he still has the same diffuse hair. I would try to keep your scalp in good shape, and see if it gets better. It definately doesn't seem to bad, but if it came quickly, and it's getting worse then it's definately cause for concern, and then i go by my original recommendation of propecia, and some good shampoos.
