How many people got itch with regular 5% minoxidil but not with Minoxidilmax fas dry? I have been using dualgen-5 no pg at night and dualgen-15 no pg in the morning for two months. I felt my hair is much better than when I started. Thinking about trying the fast dry solution to simplify my morning soution but a little afraid of the propylene glycol, even though it is reduced.

The fast dry does not make my scalp itch. It has a lower amount of ppg like Dr. Lees #500.

I used dualgen-5 and 15 without propylene glycol for about two months now. My hair loss is much less than before and there is a lot of baby hair popping up in my worst hair loss area. I had itch with Costco minoxidil, but not with dualgen. I think dualgen-5 no pg dries faster than Costco 5% minoxidil. The only complaint I have is that I sometimes got some residue on my hair if I don't apply the solution carefully. I am hoping Minoxidilmax fast dry will be cleaner if I can tolerate the pg in it.

I don't know, dualgen does have very fast and helpful customer service, I'll give em that...

However, since I personally am still in the first stages of my treatment the first thing I wanna try in the 15% category if I try any of them in Xandrox since it's the one with the most history of success and reliability...
So I may order one 3 month supply, see how it goes from there.

I am incredibly sensitive and I can handle it or would drop it in a heartbeat. I take scalp sensitivity pretty seriously so I don't mess around with it.

Rogaine foam is ok but I hate how it leaves my hair looking.
Besides how your hair looks, were you satisfied with the Foam?

In other words, if you didn't have issues of how your hair 'looked' , would you have stayed with the foam?

Probably.

I hated the smell of the scented version but there is a non scented version out now so yeah I might have.

OK so just to keep my part of this thread going. I received my dualgen 15 with pg. I had been using the dualgen 15 without pg before but this is supposed to dry quicker.

Things that are different: first off they have new packaging and the liquid is more pale yellow/ gold than the original dualgen 15. It does seem to dry quicker as well as being less sticky than the pg free stuff. Only been using for a number of days so will have more solid updates about product quality with regard mainteance etc later.

the scent was repugnant no doubt. I read someone who actually liked it  :shakehead:

but i bought the unscented just to see. MUCH better. still like liquid though unless you have a buzz cut. but foam can leave whitish marks and some residue.

Does it make your scalp itchy? I am thinking about getting some DualGen-15 soon. I currently have the fast dry and DualGen-5 with ppg. It gives me a slight itch but it's not bad and goes away after a few minutes.

Not for me no. I suggest you give tea tree oil shampoo and conditioner a try.

Stuff is dirt cheap and so good for your scalp health.

Is Essengen-5 the same as DualGen-5?
No.

Essengen-5 is just 5% minoxidil and DualGen-5 has 5% Minoxidil, 5% Azelaic Acid, 0.025% retinol, and 0.001% caffeine. The azelaic acid is supposed to be a DHT blocker, the retinol is a minoxidil enhancer, and the caffeine is supposed to be a follicle growth stimulator.

Is your DualGen-15 with or without ppg?

I'm using dualgen 15 with pg at the moment. I will give a report on it tomorrow after Nizoral. I pushed my hair back which is quite long at the moment to check my hairline and it seems to have made a lot of my hair stick together. I want to see if it was a one off because I didn't wait long enough for it to dry before I form a proper opinion on this. Also an itchiness that I get from the product is similar to what I had with Xandox 15 plus; not really too much. Dualgen 15 without pg had no itch at all for me when I used that.

All I am using is the Fast Dry...I have always taken the minimalist approach to this.

OK so from my experience so far if you have longish hair like myself I wouldn't recommend Dualgen 15 WITH PG as it makes my hair stick together alot. It might be suitable for shorter hair. Dualgen without pg was much more manageable - left my hair no where near as sticky. Any irritation for dualgen with pg was very slight and went away within an hour of use.

Unfortunately I can't really comment on its actually regrowth qualities as I hadven't used it long enough.

Hopefully this will be helpful to some people.

Are you using it during the day? I would only be using it at night, so the stickyness wouldn't be as big of a deal to me.
