I'll start, I'm 39 and took Propecia for a long time and nothing else. Ended up regrowing and keeping some hair in the front but the crown and vertex took a big hit... I've been on the big3 + MSM for a couple months now and it's going great, the front looks a ton better and the vertex has been filling... crown too but it's so gradual that sometimes I think it's filled in 1/2 inch on each side, and sometimes I think it's less than that...

How about the other +35 folks on here....

I'm 37, and started with minoxidil in 2002 and added finasteride and spironolactone for the temples/hairling in spring of 2006. My hair is doing very well and hasn't looked this good since the late 90's. My temples have shot forward better than an inch in spots and overall my hair has thickened considerably, increased density, and improved texture. I still have a big spot in the back but it's probably less than half the size it used to be. The best part is that things are still improving rapidly and I'm quite excited as to what 2007 will bring.

Klink, you've seen my posts and at this time its been down hill for 3 months on finasteride and every week I keep hoping it will at least stay the same but it doesn't..it just gets worse and I keep considering shaving it.

The finasteride I have had to cut down to 0.25mg due to tiredness, I don't seem to get any other side effect.

The Spectral DNC I apply once a day only just in front of hairline but have not seen any results so far. It is easy to apply though and many here have seen results.

nizoral I find gives my hair a real hammering and thats when I lose most so I only do that once a week.

I'm 44 but like all of us still want to keep my hair. I had a full head of hair beginning of last year and at this age never though it would go down hill so fast...so hair loss can start any time.

finasteride obviously works for you and it does seem to in most cases but so far not in mine. Another poster did say he stopped finasteride after 2 months becase of aggravated loss and hair came back when he stopped so maybe I fit into his category.

Your regieme seems solid and you should keep your hair and maybe some more gains this year so that's all good

Beaner sounds good. I'm seeing regrowth on the sides of my temple, the hairs are black and not vellous but I also have some blond vellous hairs too. I cant' tell if the center of my hairline is benefiiting.

As for the top, the bald spot in the back is about half or maybe two-thirds as when I started the big3. I'm hopefull to have that fill in or at least to get some better coverage.

Nick, how come you are not using minoxidil? I take my finasteride at nite, at 6-7pm. I was feeling tired at work when I took it at 7am. You should try that.

The Spectral DNC is minoxidil but with copper peptides added etc so is supposed to be even better ( the leaflet with it says its amazing). I guess if its not working in next month or two then I will have to check out the new minoxidil foam everyone seems to rave about here.

I take the finasteride at about 9-10 at night which seems to be better and did that at your suggestion, so thks. I will try even earlier. I keep tryng to up the does to 0.5mg but that's when tiredness gets worse again so I guess i'll have to stick at 0.25mg if i'm going to stay on it.

Make sure you take vitamins inc iron if you don't now and also MSM as that also have good reviews here to speed growth and aid health. I'm doing this anyway to help.

Check out my regimen, I have been taking MSM for a couple months.

I tried taking finasteride right before going to sleep, and I would wake up feeling a little tired.

I find that I can take it in the evening and I seem to feel better. I tend to have a diet coke right when I get home too.

I'll be posting new pics in 2 weeks.

42 and maintaining but thinning real bad all over. Crown almost gone, frontal maintaining but degrading slowly. Frontal transplant 300 grafts 10 years ago which definately helped (would look like crap now if did not do), finasteride for 8 years, minoxidil on and off since 1985, nizoral for 3 years now 3-4 days a week, added Folligen 2 months ago. Hoping for a kick in the action.
