High hairlines

I have a high hairline. It's about 2.5 inches from the center of my hairline to my eyebrows, and maybe 2.8 inches to each temple. It's been this way for as long as I can remember. Even when I was 13 or 14, I had a very high hairline. I guess I was born with it.

A lot of the temple recession has reversed while on dutasteride, but what do you guys think about high hairlines in general. I'm not talking like NW3 hairlines, I'm talking like an NW1 or NW1.5 hairline that is just very high. Are they ugly?

It kinda frustrates me becuase I think it is continuing to mature like it does for 95% of caucasian males, and I don't think that dutasteride will stop me from going to NW2 sometime soon, even if that's where it stops.

It's really the shape that does it for me. I've seen people who have even receded pretty far, but in a normal looking pattern, not the male pattern baldness horseshoe. IMHO, they tend to look a lot better than people who've receded at the temples but nowhere else.

i remember when i was 14 and visited my cousine in london he was 16 and he and also alot of his friends had a high hairline or this triangle like tempels(guess its a british thing)
i remember thinking it looked good
now i cant be objective though because hairloss is controlling my mind and i see a NW1 as the best hair

I think the curve nw2 hairlines look far better than a straight across hairline. Ive always thought that. They just look more masculine.
I had a very high hairline as long as I can remember. Also, have you noticed that many girls have very high hairlines? Not curved but very high.

haunted, true some girls have very high hairlines, but their hairlines have always been high and they don't develop the temple recession like we do.

I'm in definite agreement with some of the above comments; a mature hairline can look far better than a natural Norwood 1, high or not. The problem comes when thinning is involved. Thinning sucks.

Yeah, a high hairline is not a problem, it works on many many guys as long as the hair is normal, the problem is thinning hair, when it´s thinning is when things start to look awful...

jayman, it all depends on the person..rob lowe in that picture in your avatar actually appears to have a big forehead as well. but hes not thinning so it looks good on him..John Ritter had a very high hairline but he wasnt thinning so likewise he looked good with it.

i dont know what yours looks like, but it really depends on the person and if theres noticeable thinning to other people and not just yourself.

When I was a teen my naturally high hairline bothered me. But now I think that a NW2 looks quite good on a mature person, say from early to mid 20s.

Yah Id rather have teen hairline back, but a NW2 is nothing to worry about... unless it continues to thin and recede.

I've never had a high hairline, not even when I was like 2 years old. And since now I've began to recede it's important I try to get it back to exactly how it was originally (which is difficult to do) otherwise I begin to look like a bit of a dick with an unatural hairline. Always been a norwood 2.

Don't you mean never had a low hairline?

Yeah pretty much. I've never had one that goes straight across my forehead like an arrow if that's what you mean. Always been a bit of a slight U-shape but I guess that's most people.

Guarentee you he's been like that all his life. Some people are just born with natural deep looking hairlines, I've seen photos of him when he was about 12 and he looked exactly the same. His teamate Arjen Robben on the other hand:

Oh dear :?

BTW he's only about 22 and not 42. And last pic was taken when was about 19.

haha, I think finasteride is on the banned substance list in the English Premier League due to it's ability to mask performance enhancing drugs.
