Hm, it's been nice watching my hairline thicken up again :)

Although I am really into and believe in health and hair loss, etc, just for now to keep my hairline kicking I've been using a number of things on it in combination - minoxidil 5%, Folligen for blonds (just the one I had lying around), miconazole 2% (really hard and probably expensive to get the 4% in the UK) and also believe it or not colloidal silver, but I won't say much about that as that would belong in the Experimental section.

But yeah erm, I really think my hairline is thickening now as one might expect, it's super awesome to see little hairs poking up around my temples where they've been gone for a little while. And when I look in the mirror my hairline just looks stronger and fuller, more like it used to.

It's a little early for it to start to edge forward again properly (the front has gone back around... well, up to a cm, probably less, and the corners possibly an inch each side but there are tons of little hairs over most of that area anyway so it's just about thickening them up really).

So yeah, just nice to see this happening, and I think I seem to be a good responder to.. well, probably the minoxidil, but I guess I'm using so much (I was determined!! xD) that it's hard to tell.

Anyway, that's it, peace guys :)

Good news Hoppi mate! :punk: I thought you were against Micanazole though as its toxic for the liver?

Are your new hairs terminal or just the little white velus ones?

I thought you were using spironolactone?

I've been using frickin' everything xD

I dropped the spironolactone though as I keep thinking I'm having sides from the anti-androgens. Regardless though, I thought while I have the other options there's little point in dwelling on the spironolactone if it was concerning me.

Miconazole is apparently not as harsh on the liver as keto... at least that's what I heard! And it's only 2% once a day on my hairline... it should be able to take that!

And yeah GrayMan you may well be right! I don't really care though as long as it works lol

I'll keep going anyway, it's still early days for this one!

There's been a study on systematic absorption of topical ketoconazole and there's no evidence of systematic absorption from topical ketoconazole. I think you're confusing with oral ketoconazole that damages the liver.

well, trying to fix your whole body (or even just a part of it like your digestive tract) isn't easy, and I'm not a doctor and have no previous experience so it's takeb me ages to get where I am with it. Hair is like a ticking time bomb though, so I wanted to make sure it doesn't tick down too far xD

Haha Hoppi I dunno how you'll ever know what's working and what isn't with you chopping and changing so much, but if you're getting results then I suppose it doesn't really matter :)

So would you use Miconazole permanently then? This is what I dont understand about it, seems people are jumping on it, and then off it after a while... wouldn't the new hair be dependant on the Miconazole the same way minoxidil hair is?

This is the exact (well, almost) regimen i'm using. I go with: minoxidil 5% (1x at night); miconazole 2% (1x at night); Hair signals copper peptides (every other night); folligen for blondes (ever other night alternate with hair signals); and nizoral 1% about 2x per week.

The results you describe are similar to what i'm seeing. Nothing amazing, but, there is definite improvement in the vellus hairs that minoxidil put on my temples.

Yeah I mean, seems to be working. Thickening and lots of new hairs around my temples and that. I mean the logic was if I just pile stuff on it will probably regrow. Woot. lol ^_^

But yeah erm, just a quick fix really, I'm gonna be doing more cleanses and stuff soon :)
