Honest pinions on my head shape?

I buzzed it down last year and want to take the plunge again, but I feel like my long face/head makes me look kind of funny. Since then, I've let it grow longer again, and have been obsessing of course, since my hairline is aggressively receding. Several girls told me they hated the buzzed look, but it might have just been in comparison to my [previously] full head of thick hair. Let me know what you think, thanks.

Yes, sometimes. I usually have a few days' worth of stubble, or a goatee, and sometimes I let it grow out a couple of weeks.
