I'm located in Northern, Virgnia. Could you recommend a good dermatologist in my area (VA/DC/MD) area.
I went to an endocrinologist earlier this year complaining about excessive sweating. He took several tests in which I never saw the results. Well, due to my excessive shedding recently shedding - white bulb at the end of the strand - I actually decided to seek help and get my records from my Endcronologist and boy was I suprised. I have very low progesterone and Estradiol. My endicronologist never explained this too me.
Estradiol level was 35 ng/ml
17-OH Prgesterone = 1.0 ng/ml
DHEA-Sulfate = 890 ng/ml (reference range: 820-3400)
Total Testerone = 37.4 (reference range: 25.0-100.00)
Could this be the reason why I'm suffering from hair loss? It seems I'm hormonally imbalanced. What do doctors normally prescribe to balance your hormones? And does it effect hair growth. Help!
PS My hair loss is thinning all over. Especially in the crown and frontal region.
