I've been using minoxidil for 3 years. I started finasteride in October, but it was a generic so I'm not sure it was legitimate. I switched to proscar 20 days ago. The orange line is where my hairline used to be. I'm 23.

Do you think is possible to regrowth some of the little hairs?

In which Norwood it is?

Oh yea you are receding quite a bit, your nearing a 3, i grew hairs back that disappeared 5+ years ago but thats not the norm, if your not responding to treatments you may have to accept it and eventually buzz it, or look into transplants.

Its still pretty thick so im sure you can pull it off a while longer, try using a small dermaroller/stamp for absortion, and a big one to possibly create new follicles.

Oh man, there’s no hope? I thought I was fine. Yeah, I lost hair but I’ve been the same for a while, and I’m not losing more.

I don’t know. Sometimes my hairline looks great, like “this is really working”. And sometimes it looks awful.

If I use finasteride and rogaine how much longer can I keep what I have? Years? Decades? Or I’m delusional?

If your not losing anymore stay on finasteride and rogaine, some people reach a point and never regress anymore.

I never took pictures before starting because I didn’t wanted to look at my hair line. It was stupid. Also I had long hair, so i never noticed anything. Minoxidil stopped all the shedding I was experiencing. It helps a lot.

I started finasteride because I was feeling paranoid again. “Was my hairline receding even further?” It was so stressful so I decided to do everything.

I don’t know where I’m right know. Everything seems to be working, but this is consuming me. I don’t know.

Most likely you lost those hairs. It's hard to regrow the hairline. You still got thick hair to save but at 23 it's going to be a hard battle. Just try to keep what you have as long as you can. You need to have realistic goals and realize you will need a hair transplant eventually.

Yep, you're starting to recede and lose some hair on your front hairline, good news is it's not as bad yet and noticeable. You still have topical/medication options. It's a good thing you noticed it this early.

When I zoom in on the very first picture ,I can see miniaturized hairs of 2mm or 1mm (like if they were shaved). If you respond to minoxidil you might be able to revover some of them...This is what I think based on my own experience.

Guys I'm taking finasteride1mg ED for almost 3 months
I saw some improvement in density initially but now after 3 months I'm shedding like crazy and my hairline has thinned out a lot
Is it the regular finasteride shed or something else

Has anyone faced shedding after 3 months of finasteride??

Please reply
