For topically use spironolactone Topic, Flutamide or Fluridil

All the drugs you mentioned are systematically absorbed so there is no point in using them. The only point in using a topical drug is to not get side effects, like RU58841 or any future topical DHT blocker that would be available in the future.

You sure it's not a mature hairline?

I asked as your hair doesn't look any worse in two years...and I don't think nizoral EOD woul ddo that.

Jake_89 - All the things that Hoppi said will not change a thing if you're losing hair, although it doesn't seems like you lose any hair. What you have is a perfect example for a mature hairline.

I meant to strengthen the hair follicles as well as using finasteride and nizoral (why do all these things have such catchy abbreviations? lol) to lower DHT both systemically and topically :)

Good idea no? :)

Oh really? Do you think I should replace my Nizoral with one of those? Which one do you think I should use? I ideally want something that can easily get through to my scalp through my hair (I still have quite thick long hair), is reasonably cheap and doesn't smell bad!

I trust your opinion man, I think you are cool :)

If the follicles fall because they are sensitive to DHT (this condition is male pattern baldness) then you can't strengthen the follicles with vitamins, the only thing you can do to strengthen them is by reducing the DHT level on your scalp and according to today the only FDA approved drug for that is Finasteride. Nizoral was never proven to lower DHT topically, but it worth using because it makes the scalp feels good and makes the hair looks thicker.

I'm starting to use finasteride soon, I already ordered it and I'm not happy at all about that but I have no choice.. Getting gyno and low libido and all those potential side effects freak me out but I don't want to lose my hair and if you also don't want to lose your hair then you should do the same as me (that's if you are really losing your hair). When a topical DHT blocker would get approved by the FDA I'm going to be the first to get it.

I'm not going to start listening to you until you start truly listening to me. I think we may have to just agree to disagree, pure and simple. But I am totally cool with that, it's a free country! :)

RU58841 must submit any side effects, but until now not know, there is no drug that does not cause side effects

Continue using Nizoral 2%, you can post pictures of this as your situation?

Thanks for the continued input fellas. No I am currently NOT on Propecia since it gave me side effects even at .25 dose! Namely itchy nipples which basically means b**ch TITS in 6 months if I don't get off it! Which sucked!

I had my blood tested 2 times while on the Propecia but none of it showed an increase in Estrogen and some other related thing which I forgot the name of although I still felt itchy nipples and got off it quick fast.

I am currently just using 2 percent Nizoral ED. Will hold off the transplant idea having read what you guys say.

Estradiol, You also mentioned you had a problem with prolactin if i remember correctly.

Long time know see bud. You were one of the first people i spoke to when i first joined this forum. Your hair looks great by the way. Very much like mine at 20/21. Now that i look back I believe i may have only had a mature hairline back then that i misstook as balding. I wouldnt worry about getting a hair transplant your hair is way off that stage.

I’m back fellas! Almost ten years since my first post. I’ve been using nothing but Nizoral 2% everyday since about 2009, I’ve missed a couple of days here and there while on vacation but have been pretty good. Your results may vary but I thought I’d share that I’ve had no side effects using nizoral everyday- heck it may even slowed down the hairless but who knows I’m just one guy on the net
