How Bald Am I Right Now On Norwood Scale ?

hey all, i started this regimen april of 2014 when i was 22 years old

Finasteride 1mg/eod (every other day)
minoxidil 5% 2/day

I went down on minoxidil to once per day about 1 year ago and im wondering if this may have caused some hairloss ??

I posted pics here in 2014 and you evaluated my hair as NW1 or 1.5 with no thinning on the crown

Now i took some pics today with wet hair brooshed back with a strong direct light to view my baldness as much as possible

I would like some insight from you guys about how bald i am and if i should go back to minoxidil 2/day

Im also seriously considering a hair transplant on my temples, do you think it is a good idea ? Should i wait for better surgeries ?

Also, are there any different products i could apply in a small area like temples, where hair seems to be thinning, that would help ?!

S5 cream or something?

Edit: im currently 26 yo... do u guys think im too bald for my age ?? This is making me upset :/

Just a side note, i bodybuild and have been pretty much non stop on steroids for the past 8 years +-, so i think that might have “helped” with my balding

Thank you!!

Steroids is a death sentence for people with male pattern baldness in their family...

I like your hair you have a nice hairline albeit receded a bit and enough density on top however IMO there is nothing short of dutasteride at this point that will have any tangible impact on your hair and even that might not be enough. I don't think a transplant on the hairline or temples is a wise choice as it seems like your middle top section is thinning out too so you would need to stabalize that. I am sure a competent hair transplant surgeon would be the first to tell you that.

finasteride removes a percentage of the DHT in your system so when you are on hormones the total that remains will be higher than someone not on hormones so it seems like that fact is catching upto you. IMO the way forward for you is pretty obvious if having hair is a top priority. Firstly you could try dutasteride to see if that stops the thinning in its tracks or thicken it up. If that doesn't work your only choice is to get off the hormones. If you get off the hormones and that too fails in preventing further thinning then you can get back on hormones with the peace of mind that you tried and pray to brother banks that you don't go full NW6 so you can get a megasession and restore your hair on top and hairline.

I dont see how that is relevant to my thread ?
Id rather go bald than quit the thing i love the most (bodybuilding)

Thanks for your input, but i have compared my hair on top from 4 years ago and it seems to be the same

I purposely had very wet hair under strong white lightning to show everything

These pics are with my hair dried from liquid minoxidil and ALSO under strong white light and a couple from the top under sunlight from the window

But what i really wanted to know was:

1- how bald am i for 26?
2- where do u think i stand at the Norwood scale ?
3- could have my hair receeded, because i dropped minoxidil from 2x/day to 1x/day?
4- should i go back to 2x/day minoxidil ?
5- is it too early for a transplant? Should i wait for better treatments/surgeries ?

*yes im afraid and worried about going full bald cus i like my hair, but im not ashamed of my hairline or temples as i feel that when you try to hide the flaws, they show the most

Thanks

1. Not bald at all in the slightest
2. Norwood 2
3. You never know
4. Probably since minoxidil is the growth factor
5. You are crazy if you think you need a hair transplant that juice your taking is making you paranoid
