How do I make an essential oil topical?

Trying to get away from minoxidil and replace it with essential oils like rosemary or peppermint which is shown in research to be as effective. I want to make a topical that I can combine with RU-58841 or maybe finasteride. Something to grow and something to stop loss. Currently I’m using minoxidil with ru-58841 powder. Minoxidil doesn’t seem to be effective anymore for me as I’ve been using it for almost a decade.

I found a recipe and slightly changed it, any thoughts on it?
  • 1 Teaspoon Hemp Seed Oil
  • 3 Tablespoons Alcohol-Free Witch Hazel
  • Distilled Water
  • 10 Drops Peppermint Essential Oil
  • 10 Drops Rosemary Essential Oil
  • 10 Drops Lavender Essential Oil
  • 10 Drops Tea Tree Essential Oil
  • RU powder or Finasteride
  • End up with ~4oz topical

That appears about as effective as can be for essential oils I also add cedarwood, sandlewood, thyme, all together with the rose, lav, and peppermint. Feels great to apply with the minoxidil.

Minoxidil is great in the sense that you can add pretty much anything to it and it’s not messy on your scalp, you can apply it and leave it without having to wash it out. But the brain fog is terrible…. I don’t complain about things which probably is why it took so long to figure out the minoxidil was causing the brain fog. I can barely form a sentence without a pause and my memory isn’t that great on it.

Very strange - maybe limit the application to one day one application - next day two applications…then continue. This in addition to the essential oils.

Sigh. Good luck.
The science is behind essential oils like rosemary being just as effective. Not saying this is a cure or anything but what can you do but try? A cure is way more complex than just hair. They cure baldness and they should be able to cure aging, enable regeneration, etc. plus, adding essential oils is incredibly easy and it’s not like if I do this and fail, it will effect me any more. I’m 2.5 weeks into using the essential oil topical.

I am not against it. Studies show that they seem to be good carriers for derma-rolling. More so, eh, it seems like a lot of work for you but you are motivated. I don't know that stacking ten oils is better than using one; and I understand the notion of "couldn't hurt so throw it in there" but often the converse is true and things might work at cross-purposes.

The real reason for my sigh, apart from lack of sleep is that Janey wants something better for you guys. Baldness is such a grind to fight that I wish XY's had some more tools in their arsenals. Here's a really good article about Rosemary Oil. Half of what I think I know comes from Perfecthairheath.com. The site is actually called Perfect Hair Forever which is not very creative plus there's show called that, some cartoon so if you don't use the actual address in google, you get pages and pages about what appears to be a dreadful adult cartoon. Let's us know how it works out for you--oh yeah--I forgot. With so many oils, you will struggle to know which might be causing improvements but that's true of any stack. I would love to see some guys doing single shot, RU, CB, A-tradiol and so forth but most seem to use two to three similar treatments and there's not much photographic evidence:

This statement concerns me. I had it on spironolactone, sort of but it's not ever defined. Minoxidil does seem to be an hormonal treatment after all plus it comes in two percent. It's funny because men have always used things like animal dung (yuck) and urine for baldness and if they had used mare urine, preferably pregnant male urine, it would have perhaps worked. Had they drunk pregnant mare urine, they would have almost certainly halted baldness and maybe growth back all of their hair albeit they would look androgynous and be less strong and so forth. It would be interesting if we have any farmers out there if maybe they would provide some anecdotal feedback about whether mare urine in the raw so to speak would have worked for ancient people. That or presumably other female mammal urine especially when pregnant must have struck gold for someone, maybe.

So, I mean <hems and haws> any of you guys got a girlfriend who might donate her urine? It could be sterilized compared to drinking at the tap so to speak....

Imagine an ancient screed: They Roman soldiers were astonished that people X never went bald. It turns out that what was at play involved--part of scroll gone--restoration of hair by utilizing illegible (substance X) now lost forever to history.

Why didn't ancient guys think of trying female urine:

There’s studies for all those essential oils that help with hair and they have no side effects. They all will help… how much is the question. They also might be more potent in combination. Why not give my hair every safe option to grow and repair? None of the treatments out there are “the one”. Let’s be honest, it would be complete common knowledge by now. Just trying to hold on until there’s a legit treatment that won’t strip us of the hormone that make us men. finasteride worked for me but I knew that it eventually would be killing my DHT elsewhere and wasn’t about to wait for that to happen so I took it for a year and switched to topical finasteride but it’s just not effective enough.

I want you to find something that will actually.... I just hate to see people I think might be frustrated. You seem really nice and I gave you some likes to get your started. Some people contact me via DM, so anything I can do. Sorry if I seemed too negative but I did send a nice article. That guy is great at analysis but his method is massage which is sort of eh so we all have hang-ups. Microneedling is great.
