How do you cut you pills?

I am considering halving my dose of Propecia -- but I remember all those scary commercials where they said do not let a woman touch a crushed pill! I sometimes have women in my room and worry that if I cut a pill with a knife or even pill cutter some of the dust could end up left on the counter where someone could touch it. Is this unreasonable and what method do you use to cut a pill and keep the area safe for the female types?

Also, I know it's only a danger for women who are pregnant or will be soon, but how do I know if a lady is early pregnant or hoping to be soon? I figure better be safe.

Use a pill splitter and cut them on a paper towel. Put the cut pieces back in a pill bottles and throw away the paper towel. There shouldn't be any residue left behind.
