How Do You Realistically Incorperate 2x minoxidil Into Your Day

From what I understand, application is time-consuming, and it takes about an hour to dry. Also, I understand that it should not be applied to a wet scalp - therefore you can't just put it on right after the morning shower, you have to wait.

It just seems really difficult for me to imagine going through this process twice a day every day. Do you guys find it tough? Have any tips?

One technique I've developed (it might not be good but im interested in hearing what others think) is to put extra on (so say 3ml to cover my whole scalp) and then continuously rub it in with my fingers until its dry. I can get it fairly dry using this method in probably 10-15 minutes..yeah a lot of it gets in my hair and on my fingers but that's why I put more than I need on.

If I need to go out the door and it still looks greasy I'll dry it off with a towel, again might be losing some minoxidil doing this but I try to counter with extra + dermaroll.

my two cents, my hair sucks so take my "advice" with a grain of salt

I just use it once at night and it seems to be doing a pretty good job to me.

I'm more concerned about the "dandruff". I get so much just from using it once a night I don't see how people apply it twice. I finally gave in and bought some foam off Amazon that should be here in a few days. The liquid is fine but those flakes are driving me crazy. They itch too.

I use foam in the morning before work and am able to style my hair within 15 minutes.
At night I towel dry my hair and use liquid, but slowly moving to foam at night too.
Less flakes and dries much faster.

It's even harder when you're using a lot of topicals, like miconazole, megatek, apple cider vinegar, fluridil ect.

I use Nanominox-MS, which you can wash out after 5mins but probably best to leave for 15.

If you're not using a lot of topicals than you could try dr Lee's minoxidil with retin-a which dries very quickly.

Here's the thread on nanominox
viewtopic.php?f=42&t=54285

It's pricey enough - I just bought 3 bottles.

105,00 € Nanominox
5,00 € shipping
2,50 € Paypal fees
112,50 € Total

However the bottles are 100ml so 3 bottles are about 5months worth.

About 0,35 per ml so 0,70 cents a day.
21,70 € for a 31 day month.
That's 255,50 € per year.

Dr lee's bottles are 16,00 € for 65ml so 24,61 € for 100ml compared with 35,00 € for Nanominox-MS.

0,25 cents per ml so 0,50 cents per day.
15,50 € for a 31 day month
182,50 € per year

shipping and other fees not added for calculations.

apple cider vingear as a topical? Are you sure you aren't making people run away from the smell?

There's a ACV thread on this site:
viewtopic.php?t=62452&p=602384

I haven't put acv on my scalp yet - just got it yesterday but avcfan says he's got great results from doing so - there's photo's with his results on the avc thread.

He's says the small goes away after a few minutes.

Between 2 and 4 times a day (after my shower in the morning, when I get home from work, before bed, sometimes I squeeze in another time) I soak a cotton ball and dab it on lightly-- not enough so it runs.

It really tingles when applied, and the smell does go away within a few minutes.

It's a slight inconvience at first but then I realize if I want hair I got to do it. It does not take that long after a couple of weeks of using it, I usually get it down in a minute or two at worst. In the morning, the tips to use it are to apply it to a damp scalp and usually by the time my morning commute is over (45 minutes to 1 hour) it is fairly dry and I find if you don't want that minoxidil look in your hair, run a comb through it.

Applying to a damp scalp greately increse the chances for sides. 1 month after applying a little less to a dry scalp, from only applying to a damp scalp, my occationally facial bloating is gone. Eyes are improving aswell

You chould try to apply 0.7ish ml morning, and 1.3ish ml night. Or try foam. I dont buy the only need 15 min before shower for nanominox thingy...

I agree I would not trust that leaving nanominox on for 15mins then washing off would do anything for your hair. I think you must be high off your arse on crack to put any faith in such a shoddy looking product.

My recommendation especially for guys with buzzed hair is foam all the way, the difference between drying times is immense (I'm talking Rogaine liquid and foam here).

I just started using foam 2 weeks ago and love it. Currently still using liquid at night to use up my stash.

Liquid, 4 hours later your scalp still looks greasy. Also flakes like crazy.
Foam, pretty much any sign of application gone in 15-20 mins. No flakes.

I too have an inquiring mind as to how my fellow follicly-challenge counterparts apply Minoxidil.
I have found a terribly easy and fast way to dispense my morning ritual potion, I use an empty plastic dauber and fill it with Minoxidil.
such as here:
http://stampendous.com/product/153889/S ... leshopping

or simply google, dauber top applicator bottle.

I find this method "clean",I don't get my fingers moistened and it dispenses the right amount directly on my scalp.
I originally got introduced to this method from Dr. Lee (xandrox), and have been a fan ever since.

I am now forced to replace my xandrox with Lipogaine and will post with feedback on this product. Xandrox was the Gold standard IMO, now I will crush 2 proscar pills in w/ the new minoxidil to achieve same results.

I guess if its working for you at just 1x day, just apply at night to a dry scalp, wash out in the morning.

As said applying to a wet scalp is dangerous.

Not really, it seems to be consensus here that a wet scalp increases absorption which increases the chances of sides. Makes sense to me though I've never seen it officially stated anywhere.

The sides from minoxidil are pretty minor so 'dangerous' is a bit of a stretch.

But if you notice stuff like bloated-face or dark bags under your eyes you could try it with a dry scalp.

I just started yesterday with Kirkland for 6 mouth. Can I just change to the foam at that point? It sounds so much better to use.

How does the empty plastic dauber work? I am thinking about buying one.
