How does scalp protector "eliminate" curing time? Seems like a ridiculous assertion.

It does strength the bond asap, lending some credibility to the statement, but adhesives connect to two things: your head & the base of your unit.

So what about the topside of the tape or glue? That still needs time to cure.

Because your body has to breakdown the scalp protector, to get to the adhesive... Which creates more than enough time for the adhesive to fully cure....without interference from your body....

The system isn't breaking down the adhesive..... your body is....

It doesn't make the most momentous difference I've found, but the elimination of cure time is VERY appealing to me.

You use Silicone glue, right? Does that cure quickly, or slowly (like Ghostbond).

I mean, who wants to put a piece on and then WAIT 24 hr. to style it?

No no it´s not meant to not style it. Of course you can style your hair without having to wait. It is said to wait 24 h I think to avoid heavy sweating etc.
I really don´t know which cures faster or if this is just a marketing gag

No, with lace and Ghostbond, you’ll ruin the firmness of the glue if you add product asap. Everything’s got water in it. Even spraying conditioner, misting it, is bad I’ve found. Makes the glue gooey and more likely to seep through the lace

How did the stylist do this in that way ? When you buy a brand new system ?

I just look at scalp protector as another chemical. Never used it.

So it doesn't need to cure on the topside?
It will. However its intended purpose is to stop the natural process of oil and sebum from attacking the adhesive before it's cured, and has more of a defense.

The adhesive semi cures on the top side as you allow it to dry before pressing the unit down. It does not have your scalp contaminating it before it cures fully.
