Yeah I think Nizorelle is the new name for Nizoral 1%. I've only ever seen nizoral 2% on the shelves in the UK previous to this. I think Boots are starting to follow the US and make the 2% a prescription only (I was told I could only purchase it from the Prescription counter). Luckily its available in other pharmacists and in generic versions

Another way to know which one you have is that the 1% is blue liquid and the 2% is pink.

Btw nobody can make any hair claims on the 1% stuff. The study that was done was made using the 2% keto. Any other claims are guesswork.

Yep, the 2% is available on the shelves in Boots, even Tesco etc... And like I stated previously the 1% doesn't actually exist in the UK.

Interesting point those claims are on the 2% though. Good point

Whenever I use nizoral 1% my scalp feels sore the next day and my hair looks like sh*t that same day I use it. I used to use Revita and it was a whole lot better than regular Nizoral but unfortunately it was too expensive for my budget. Hopefully I can make the switch back to Revita soon.

How come you guys use the shampoo? It does come in other forms, cream or what i use the tablets. I got 30x200mg for like $25. Any shampoo you leave in for 3-5 min is going to strip your hair and make it look like shite, especially if its medicated.

I am afraid that the tablet could cause some serious liver damage which is far too risky to even consider.I haven't given the cream any thought yet.

The shampoo is great; it's anti-inflammatory and in a study of Korean men. the 2% formula proved to be as effective against male pattern baldness as 2% minoxidil, when used twice a week. Yes the study was quite a small sample etc, but still very promising indeed.

Also, if you have a highly topical regime like me, Nizoral is an absolute must! The amount of sh*t that accumulates in my hair week after week is horrible and normal shampoo does not get rid of it.

nizoral eliminates all the sebum and crusty, dried topical crap that blocks the follicles in my scalp. Only been using for 3weeks, but already there's a definite improvement in the quality of my hair.

Going back to the cream, it seems really interesting to me due to the fact it can be left in for so long. I also looked into the foam but unless I'm looking in the wrong place it's SO expensive isn't it?

Keto cream/foam (left in for a long time - can it be left in overnight?) seems like a good alternative to fluridil for me as fluridil is so pricey.

never said i was taking it internally, yes that would not be smart.
My point was 1 200mg tab has as much keto as a 200ml bottle of the 1% shampoo. One tab cost me $.83 vs10-15 for the shampoo and i can apply it with any method i choose.

Its all the harsh detergents they use to remove oil ect so the active can reach the inner layers of the skin. Probably doesnt have anything to do with the 1-2mg of keto, This is most likely the reason some people experience irritation.

If you want a shampoo that cleanses the scalp, Tsal might be a good option.

Again i dont see a real reason to use the shampoo, its just marketed that way because its easy for the consumer to use.
