In your case, a transplant is a waste of time and money without finasteride or dutasteride.

You might be right. Then again, I’ve seen guys online who have got theirs done and don’t take finasteride and some have had excellent results. And with slightly worst starting out points than mine

When you feel like you've lost too much hair, shave it. I guess there's not much to do.

The fact is that they fade massively!

Deluded if you think you can get SMP and it won't need touched for 5 years. Speak to people who have had it done and stop spouting nonsense. There are plenty of people on here who have had it.
I live in Canada an know people who have had SMP for 7 years without a touchup.

Stop talking.

More nonsense, much like the majority of your posts on here - which you're constantly getting called out about!

I see. I used a solution before but it was like 6 tablespoons in total applied to your whole head once a week. 5ml makes more sense. I'll have to look into DMSO but I'll probably stick with the oils I already have - castor, rosemary, and peppermint. Like the other guy asked, how well has that solution worked so far for you?
DMSO is not a oil. Its just the best skin-penetrator in existance. Add alcohol to that so that stuff actually gets absorbed.
Just put all of that in a bottle and apply it with a syringe or something.

I cant say how well it worked for me. Im experiencing insane hair regrowth, but im also on dutasteride and needling.
What i can say without a doubt is that these oils are not useless. Rosemary/peppermint oil are vasodilators. Castor oil is a PGE 2 agonist, grapeseed oil contains proanthocyanidins which is known to cause hair growth and pumpkin seed oil is a weak anti-androgen and rich in vitamin E.
And most of these oils are also help against inflammation which is another important thing in hairloss.

Does anyone think minoxidil could save my hair at this point??

I hate to be the one to dash hopes but not a chance in hell.

minoxidil is like match

You need a nuclear powered flame thrower

Might make it slightly better to a barely noticable degree, but save? No. No sir. You need to be realistic.

Thanks, but based on your other posts it's hard to take any of your opinions seriously. You're a rookie here acting like a seasoned expert.

Add finasteride if you really want to save it. Add minoxidil and dermarolling for regrowth. Do that and I almost guarantee you'll see results.

Thanks. It is starting to seem like finasteride would be a necessity for any substantial long-term results in my case..

Even the hair that's remaining is highly diffused and on deaths door.

Any shock loss at all and he'd probably lose more than they grafted.

the problem with a hairtransplant would probably be that your density will be very sh*t

https://www.gourmetstylewellness.com/interact/threads/which-density-do-i-need-to-avoid-such-a-result.109874/

ask a few doctors and ask them about density. then make your decision

id consider just buzzing it it all off at this point.

full hair > buzzcut zero guard > slick bald > balding

maybe in 10 years when hair cloning is available you can get a hairtransplant with sufficient density then
The density is a concern. Will have to definitely consult with a surgeon when I am considering and see what can be done to make sure it would work out if I went forward with it.

It's not an opinion that your hair is wispy, diffuse and on it's last legs.

Ask a dermatologist if you don't want my opinion and brace yourself for a reality check.
