How likely is a finasteride shed?

I'm going to prom in a little less than a month and i want to start finasteride within the next week or two. .5mg each day. My prom is May 13 and I don't want to risk having horrible looking hair if it sheds.

Definitely wait until after prom. The start of the summer, following prom, would be a great time to begin finasteride
