How Long Does It Take For Miniaturized Hairs To Die? (pics)

So as some of you may know I buzzed my head at the start of august. From these august pics you can tell that the entire top of my head is miniaturized and looks to be going bald all at once. Now that im 2.5 months into growing it, the hairs those thin hairs are still growing and not completely dead like I thought. How long do you think I have until all these hairs miniaturized hairs completely die? The two pics where my head is tilted forward are with natural lighting in the same spot and the other two are under my room lighting in the same spot. I have also been on 0.5mg propecia every day for 4 months now.

Still shedding a lot but its hard to compare since I buzzed it. At my peak loss when my scalp was burning like crazy I had pretty long hair and I was losing easily 500+ per day it was insane. Right now im still shedding but nowhere near that amount more like maybe 100 hairs per day at max. I try not to count anymore but Its definitely less than before.

I think it depends on your genes and how aggressive it is. For me, I had a crazy amount of density like six months ago. Now I’ve lost an insane amount of hair. Surely all of those long hairs didn’t go through multiple shedding cycles like miniaturized hairs are supposed to.

Yeah for me also I lost a majority of my density in the last 6 months. It is way more noticeable when I try to do my regular hairstyle by putting my hair up, which I cant do anymore because it gets see-through. When its layed out flat forward like in these pics it makes it look like theres a lot more coverage than there actually is.

The miniaturization literally only started this year theres no way that it could be this fast it doesn't make sense. I do have a strong family history of balding young but all of those guys went bald from a fully receded hairline but for me my hairline is pretty normal and just losing density all over the top. Is there any cases on this forum of guys miniaturizing all over the scalp at a young age and then staying that way for a long time without meds?

Which after talking to him, I realized I have as well. Do you get little painful pimples in your scalp? If so, that in my opinion, can contribute to diffuse loss. Inflammation definitely has a major role in hair loss and there’s a bunch of ways to fight inflamation.

I do have small pimples on my head but its not really that painful. However, when I was losing my hair super fast my scalp burned like crazy and I was losing most amounts of hair from those areas like the vertex. Also, if it was inflammation related then wouldnt the hairs not miniaturize? Isnt hairs miniaturizing a clear sign of male pattern baldness?

Im currently taking zinc and nizorol as well. Also trying to make diet changes that could hopefully reduce some inflammation. I cut out dairy from my diet and am eating more fruits and vegetables for the past month and am trying to get leaner overall, still looking to lose about 20 more lbs. Hopefully these things help.

Thanks man, but trust me its a lot less density than at the start of the year. When I put my hair up it is completely see through but when its layed out flat it looks like there is more coverage.

Yup, although the crown doesn't burn as much as it did a few years ago. My mid-scalp is burning right now and I've noticed more density loss in that area. It's probably on par with my crown right now.

And I might give finasteride another try. Maybe I overreacted. But I just know I felt lethargic for a few days after I took it.
