13 months for me. I didn't go to any hair system forums until after a month of wearing. I learned everything through difference youtube channels and DIY since the first day of wearing a hair system. Never been to a salon or hire a hairdresser to do it for me, therefore, my first month hasn’t been easy. I was tempted to hire someone that can do a job for me but glad I didn't. Experimentation is the best way to learn about the hair system. It's really not as complicated as you think.

18 months and on my 3rd system now.
Still not happy with the look, but learning as time goes on. I mean, it's OK, better than bald, but I have the hair of a 30 year old and I'm in my mid 40s. I'm finding it a struggle to get a more age appropriate look with this particular hair system.

Tape the whole time and never had a problem. Glue of any type has never appealed.

I assume that you are using tape at the hairline also. You must be happy with the bond you achieve with tape if you've been using it for 13 years. Is your hairline exposed or do you keep it hidden? I have ordered Lace FX and Supertape and hopefully I'll have similar results, I'm a little bit nervous about possible allergic reactions to tape like some have described.
Yes tape all round. I have a poly base and a lace front and it's been fine on both. I don't have an exposed hairline so I guess that helps. In terms of strength of hold I've never had an issue and try to re-type once a week. I'd never considered any reaction until jointing this forum a few months ago.
