Hey man, glad to hear you are back on the finasteride!

For most guys, the maintenance starts at about 3 months in. However, this isn't really visually measureable because most balding guys can't notice a change in hair loss over the course of only 3 months. You might notice decreased shedding, but thats likely the extent of it.

I personally had great results after 3 months:

I don't think my experience is exactly the norm, but i've seen many other have the same good results in that short timeframe.

Just a few short weeks after starting on finasteride, there is a huge reduction of DHT in your bloodstream, so your follicles start regrowing almost immediately. finasteride 'works' from day one, but it takes a while to see any visual results.

Good luck buddy! Make sure you take pictures to track your progress.

Hey, thanks for your replys. Im done with finasteride. I took 3 1/8th 5mg tabs and sides came up like crazy. One i get this headache that seems to last for days, and getting some sexual sides as well.

Im done with finasteride. It's over. Second try, it's over. Im not risking my health. I would warn anyone else to become familiar with sides so you can recognize them if they start happening to you.

Im not resisting anymore. If i go bald, so be it. Good luck to everyone..

Come on, can't blame finasteride only for a headache...
And it seems you were insistently looking and waiting for the sides, if you "warn us" to "become familiar with the sides". What?? So the sides are so crazy, but they are so noticeable that someone may not recognize them, and need to "become familiar"? Strange...
It could be all in your head/ imagination. And even it's finasteride related, that headache may be temporary, didn't you think at that??
Come on, if one wants to fight something( for example hair loss), he must be a strong person, not be frightened by a simple headache... No risk, no patience, no win!
Anyway, good luck, it's your choice!

your choice bro, but i'd say maybe try ride it out. how long were you on it before? i had a couple mild sides for my first week, MAYBE 2 weeks (nausea and brain fog) but they cleared up as quickly as they'd come and i haven't had anything for the last nearly 4 months since then.

Speaking of finasteride sides, what are the possible sides apart from the infamous sexual ones?

It's my second week of finasteride, I don't get any sexual sides or "ball ache", but I noticed slight headaches, slight drowsiness, mild eye pain/tiredness. I know it sounds stupid, but I think I noticed my nipple hair almost stopped growing after starting finasteride...
Well, of course all this could be in my head, but could this be caused by Finasteride?

If you look hard enough for sides, your mind will (at the very least) make one up. Would you really have linked a headache and tiredness with finasteride a few months ago? I'd say to ride it out and see what happens. Of course, if all of a sudden you can't get it up, then I'd get off it real quick.
