How long to see results with rogaine foam?

Haven't been on it long and don't expect to see results yet, but it kinda sucks when your eyes look like sh!t because of it and you're not making any progress.

It's a gimmick. Never noticed any difference in hair texture, and density over the years

I've been using Dermarolling and using minoxidil 1x a day for the past year. At times it just got worse and worse, but now I'm seeing regrowth (even in the NW1 areas). So, no it's not a gimmick but different people will respond differently to the medication

If you're going to use it, stick with it for at least a year. It's not that expensive if you buy the liquid generic one and only apply once a day.

I use topical Minoxidil and the treatment works well for me. I've experienced nothing negative from the medication, only positive ones.

JHCL1990, you should start seeing results by at least four months of using Minoxidil, that is if you respond to the medication. Every hair loss treatment takes time to see results.

Foam is bull****, not many people get results. They claim 9/10 but they like most hair loss companies only care about your dollar and they'll lie as long as they're in profit. It might work a bit but not worth the investment. If you do want minoxdil use the liquid, even then its rare to see actual hair rather then white crappy vellus which is the best you can hope for in most cases. Hop on finasteride/dutasteride and save what you got, then hair transplant in a few years if your stable . Maybe Seti/PGE2 will produce better regrowth in the future and can replace minoxidil.

Rogaine foam made my head so dry and flaky. Quit it after about 3 months because of that reason. Anyone else have that problem?

I use the 5% Minoxidil foam and I've been getting good results from it. I stopped it for two months during the Summer of 2014 and I went through a massive shed, and that was before I knew about the 5-alpha-reductase inhibitors, so I know the treatment helps to manage my male pattern baldness. Something around like 40% will get real legitimate terminal hair regrowth while for the rest of minoxidil-Users they'll either maintain what they have, get the vellus hair growth, or slow down balding. Like any other medication, some won't respond to Minoxidil. Me personally, Minoxidil is an absolute necessity in my regimen.

Yes, definitely getting on Dutasteride or Finasteride is the first line treatment for male pattern baldness, and getting a hair transplant is the best option to restore hair that won't come back. And hopefully, Setipiprant will prove itself to potently inhibit PGD2 in the scalp that suffers from baldness.

By the way massa, how's Setipiprant been going so far? :tellme:

Thanks for the responses. I've been on nizoral and finasteride 1mg ED for a little over 13 months now and wanted to add rogaine because I wanted to see some regrowth. I'm using the foam because I don't want the PPG that's in the liquid (either foam or no minoxidil).
