Alright, I guess its time for me to step in. I got an email from crossfingers so im going to reply here.
Crossfingers there are two things happening here.
1. Someone new who genuinely needs help (you) asks a question that seems to be really important to you. You've correlated the decrease in facial hair with being able to get on with your life.
2. Someone saw this and thought it sounded absurd, so they decided to poke a little fun at it.
The incidence of poking fun at newbies increases... the more time the regular poster stays here. Guys who have been here for a year (not sure if there are any right now) eventually begin manifesting signs of insanity in response to questions that have been asked over and over or just seem weird. The reason? Millions of questions from newbies that range from legitimate and understandable to downright weird. Over and over and over.
On a scale of 1 to 100, 1 being completely understandable, 100 being completely stupid, yours probably fell into the range of 60 or 70. Just a little on the weird side. Not majorly weird.
But enough for a regular who is quickly losing his patience to just go off the deep end and start trying to make a point with inane responses. (Bismark)
It takes a regular who is still fairly new to resist the urge to poke fun at the newbie questions that don't seem relevant to anything.
Either way? Nobody means any harm.
Now getting to your question, Ill probably articulate what the others didn't have the energy to:
Why does it matter when your facial hair will decrease?
That said, unfortunately, nobody can answer your question. There hasn't been any documentation of the estimated time for minoxidil induced facial hair to grow, or how long it takes to go away. My guess would be just use basic logic and assume that it will take roughly the same amount of time it took to show up.
