How many hairs fall out when you're washing your hair?

Hi,

I've been using Propecia for 6,5 Months now, at the beginning my hands were full of hair when washing my hair (maybe 10-25), now i see only very few coming out (at worst 5 i think).

What is your experience? How do you count the hairs you are losing a day?

I see 1 or 2 a day in the shower, and 1 or 2 in the sink. There are plenty that I lose that I don't see.

Are the hairs you find small hairs or long, strong terminal hairs (i think that's what the stronger ones are called)?

I've looked at your regime and you are an avodart, how soon did it slow down your hair loss? Have you found more hair in the show before using avodart?

They're long terminal hairs with thick bulbs on the end. This is perfectly normal.

I can't say how long it took to slow down my loss but what I can tell you is that I used to find 10 or 15 hairs on my hands when I would wet and comb my hair, now I find 1 or 2 at most.

When I was working, my hair would fallout in droves. When I was unemployed, the receding stopped! Is this just in my head?

Damn, maybe i should quit my company and fire all employees! Then i would grow a HUGE amount of hair! :shock:

Well I've been on the big 3 for years now - 4 years on finasteride and Min and have pretty much had complete maintenance.

However I reckon I would lose at least 20 hairs during my showers. Probably then another 10 or so styling my hair thereafter.

I don't remember losing much hair before my hairloss kicked in, however, that may be because I wasn't conscious of it. Certainly after I noticed my male pattern baldness, I've pretty much shed the same amount every day...
