From what I've seen, even 0.2 mg of finasteride still can inhibit a great amount of DHT.

That being said, how do people see less side effects if the DHT inhibition is sooo close to 1 mg and 5 mg? May there be an another mechanism of the drug which causes issues but isn't related to DHT inhibition aspect at all?

Don't expect to have a clear answer here. It is not sure which mechanism of Finasteride causes its sides.

If it is DHT reduction, your question is legit and there is most likely no real reduction of exposure to sides if you lower the dose, given the flat response curve. If sides are stemming from another finasteride effect, it could be that lowering the dosage diminishes chances to get sides.

10+ year user of finasteride at 1mg daily. Given the research about microdosing effectiveness, I just started on 0.5mg and I can tell you I feel different. I woke up with a rock-hard throbber for the first time in a while; I'm almost 45 y/o.

Given finasteride inhibits other hormones too, they probably don't have the same inhibition curve.
