How much did hairloss change your life?

Toms, at my age I am required to go to school. I luckily have to. Also Tom don't drop from college, or else you are only going to make it worse for yourself.

The difference is that, uncomfortable man and myself have been on both sides of the fence.

We've been in your shoes, and everyone who has been an early balder and is now bald will tell you the same.

What you're going through now is a picnic compared to living your life as a young bald NW4+ man.

And there's no going around that fact. I'm sorry if you don't want to hear this.

I know Captain Forehead will understand, we're not here to sugarcoat the reality of true baldness.

Fred, I followed most of your post and that of uncomfortable man. Do you really think I don't know this? Of course being actually bald is worse but knowing that I am going bald at my age isn't exactly a picnic either.

It is awful to go bald at a young age, especially you have every right to be upset.
Which European country are you from?

Small country next to germany. Where I never ever saw a young bald guy...

Got it.
Are you using any medication? I guess I'm going to try out RU, because there is no way I am getting man titties.

Damn, I saw at some thread that you spent all your money on treatment, it is the same for me. I all the time think, that I if I wouldn't be dealing with this bull*hit, I would be spending all that money in having fun and my progress.
Now when I found out that my body can't even take 2 low doses of finasteride, I feel like the body I got is just a brack. All my life I looked younger than I am, now I look like I'm 17, always told people: **** you, when we'll be 25, I'll be the one laughing at how old you look. I haven't even reached the point where I look like an 18 year old, but already losing hair.
Just so lost in life, I almost feel like only now I've gotten out of the denial about balding. Do not know what to do anymore.
I need to drop out of my college, I want to leave this city and be miserable somewhere else. If I leave the city, there will be loads of people, that will remember me as a fun, hot, ladies-man, life of the party person, that loves attending every activity. I don't want to ruin their viewpoint.

For my regimen check: view my regimen, it's under my avatar. Anyway I understand what you mean, life in the city doesn't have much to offer anymore.

Any success with your regimen? Any sides?

Exactly, plus I just can't work as a waiter anymore. If you are a waiter, you have to be handsome , there is no such thing as tips for depressed and ugly waiter. I hope to get a job as an auto messenger. Don't have to communicate with people there.

No bad sides but still unsure about possible gyno. Also not much luck, I am still losing my hair.

As Fred mentioned, if you are on finasteride and think you might have gyno, you most probably have it.

If RU gives me gynofeeling aswell, I'm just giving up.

It is just not worth risking being bald guy with erectile disfunction and boobs in the end anyway.

Never heard of RU giving boobs. We think it makes the the hair less sensible for dht, so it doesn't mess with the hormones if this is correct.

Being a bald guy and being a bald guy with erectile dysfunction is pretty much the same thing. Both have the inability to use their d**k.

This is one of the stupidest statements I've ever read on this forum.

Dont listen to him, Toms. Guy has issues- he is trying to convice HIMSELF.

I honestly think that you should not be worried about sides with Finesteride or dutasteride (if you waiver to that). If you compare the hairloss to brain cancer imagine the side effects of that medication. Your hairloss is effecting you. I acknowledge that. I can see you are starting to lose your hair but ride out any sides man if it is that important to you at your young age. I have ridden side effects for 14 years on Finesteride. They are minimal and after time fade. If you are going to move away etc. Just put your head down and stick through finasteride for 2 years atleast. You will not regret it based upon your belief system!

He's exaggerating but not by a whole lot. Vast majority of women want nothing to do with bald men. Thats why forums like the one your on right now exist.

And some of us even learned that the hard way... I used to think baldness was not going to be a problem, until reality proved me wrong. I can confirm that trying to date decent women as a bald, young guy is a complete waste of time.

Now, hair coming back, girls everywhere, including a girlfriend... I don't even need to do an effort, girls know how to show interest when they like you. As a baldie, you have to be making huge amount of efforts just to get a girl to go for a drink with you, an activity that, if you have hair, just happens.

Non-believers are usually not really bald yet. Or have a girlfriend they met while having hair, and are not really out there realizing they are the scum of the dating market.

Amen.

Balding is truly the ailment that makes you sink at the bottom. With height.

Things you have no control over of course. Women will remind you they want nothing to do with you.

And they'll just utter "sorry for being honest" to your face.

But then you get videos like this:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IlMEKp1DGv4

All of which tell the guy they dont mind it. Behind his back, they'd care... very much. All those women were just being politically correct... its just fluff.

But isn't this what we want? Who would want to be with a girl who likes bald guys? There would be something seriously wrong with her.

im back from a party, because I got suddenly depressed. I drank about 160ml of vodka and felt completely wasted and almost felt like I have to throw up. It is either the 2 doses of finasteride I've taken or the topical anti androgen that I use, I was able to handle alcohol before.
There were these girls that were talking about how all the girls still talk about me at my high school. I graduated one year ago. I don't want these fans of mine ever to see me again. They will be like:"what? is that him? looks weird.."
Freaked out a few times looking in the mirror.
I was there with this girl who I rejected 4 months ago and she told me tonight that she sees me as a friend. i was almost 100% sure I would have made a permanent girlfriend tonight, because she had a huuuugeee crush on me again. Turns out a girl who did everything for me is now out of my league. This means I will die alone.
I just can't accept starting with lover level girls. I can't accept having male pattern baldness at 20. It was not time for my hair to go. It was not the time.
Im intoxicated right now and a little bit stoned and just really thinking about the cruel and wonderful randomnesses of life. Life is random, you just have to be lucky...

And your rant does not make any sense because your hair loss, if you have any in the first place, IS NOT NOTICEABLE!

I'll be serious for once; It's fine if you want to contribute to the hair loss community in any way, but stop exaggerating your condition. Here you are dramatizing a non-visible hair loss and exposing it to bunch of dudes that have a far more serious reality to deal with in their hands. This is plain idiotic imho

If his hairloss is affecting him he is allowed to post on a forum about the impact of hairloss. I started losing my hair at 17 at a SLOW rate. It wasn't noticeable to anyone else for a while but I knew and that made me feel bad. I've said this too many times now but I'll say it again - this forum is for NW2s as well as NW7s.

Ok, now that you did you'll realize I'm not saying anyone in a lesser scale of Norwood 2 is not able to post comments. Of course anyone can, but lets make it honest and real. If I have a Norwood one point something/two with minor thinning, why would I overblow it? And this is exactly what this guy has been doing since day one.

Edit: I agree with FredTheBelgian, it's quite disrespectful to state such things and pisses me off as well.

I concur with Exodus and Notcoolanymore here. The guys who whine the loudest here have no idea of what true hair loss is about.

They think they have it bad with their NW1 or their mature hair line. How should guys like Exodus and me react to that?

There have been some very depressed young people here, and they every reason to be. But seeing those BDD guys cry over their non-existent hair loss, it makes me angry.

In the end, it makes you wonder. Who here besides Exodus, me, uncomfortable man, Captain Forehead has been really suffering from devastating hair loss?

I'm talking about NW4 territory and more here. Who? We've never had any pictures from EvilLocks either, so who knows, it may not be as horrible as she says.

I know I was guilty of that, when I was 20 years old, thinking my hair loss was horrible at the time while my hair was in fact still pretty decent.

It's only where you hit NW5 that you realise that every Norwood before that was just a walk in the park.

At NW5, you are the bald guy, for real, no more hiding, no more respect from society, and you become invisible sexually to 95% of women.

People who have not experienced it will never understand what the NW5 crew guys are going through.

But in your eyes he is exaggerating, in his, the start of baldness might signify something poignant and depressing within himself. Ultimately how you feel and how things affect you is subjective. I stand by what I've said.

It's true JimmyJones. But the thing is that you can't say society treats you like crap when you're just beginning to lose your hair. It can affect how you feel, but not how you're treated by people.

I do agree to a certain extent but when you start to lose your hair and you are a young man (I started losing it at 17) girls and boys in their late teens may treat you differently because let's face it some 17 year old girls will not accept any recession what so ever, though some won't mind as I found out :)

Bullshiit, I had a friend in high school who had a pretty clear recession and he did just fine with the ladies. I saw that guy last year and was pretty bald already, wonder how he's doing now...

It's fine if you have noticed how the bald thing works in modern society and feel bad about it and stuff, but it is no matter of perception the fact that people are oblivious to anyone below the NW2 scale. I'm already/or close a Norwood 2, with thinning all over. People have noticed specifically the thinning, not the recession just yet and it's noticeable for any brother under the norwood sun.
