I get 20 tablets of generic finasteride from Target for $3.80 (it's covered by my insurance weirdly enough...)

I get 30 pills of proscar covered by my insurance. Only charge is the dispenser fee which is around $7.00.

four months at 1.25 costs around 7.00x3 months = 21.00 annual cost

When I first started treatment years ago I bought 1MG Merk propecia which costed me 58.00 a month

I don't use Finasteride, but I do know it's a very inexpensive treatment and very affordable, great treatment for baldness. I don't think it should cost more than $20 a year if you use generic Proscar.

Agustin, Proscar is cheap because it's covered by insurance for the prostate. On other hand if you were to buy the direct brand thats targeted for hair loss, its quite expensive.

it was around 58-63.00 for a monthly supply of Merk finasteride 1MG ED

Yes exactly, that's why Proscar so cheap, it's insurance covered for treating an enlarged prostate. Propecia is expensive because it's labeled as a 'cosmetic' hair loss medication.

Even Dutasteride has become cheap, I was paying $70+ a month for genuine Avodart even with insurance, it recently became generic and my last pick-up was $6, and I hope it stays that way.

1 month (30 pills) of propecia today cost me $77. Doctor prescribed 6 months. I'll be having her prescribe proscar for next month.
