How much would you pay someone to shave their head?

Ha, this sounds crazy I know. But I'm at the point where I've begun to really not be bothered about my hair loss. I've been blessed with a generally athletic build and feel that if I got on a workout regimen I could be a damn handsome and healthy fella with a shaved head.

Anyways, I've come up with this somewhat silly idea of basically auctioning the decision to shave my head on ebay or similar. How much do you think I could get? I of course dream of a few hundred thousand but that's nonsense really. I could hype it up into some kinda 'what would you do for a million bucks' scenario. People pay a lot of money for the Virgin Mary burnt on toast and the like. Yea right. Probably more like 20 bucks, ha!

There is a guy on the company that i work that is being joked by everyone (on his back) for his newly shaved head and he's NW5.

And i'm not joking or inventing. This stuff is real.

That's too bad. Bald jokes can be funny though if you have a sense of humor about it. Balding jokes are pathetic though.

Plus I can assure you I'm a much more handsome fellow than that guy. :D

Heh, hey that's just what the mirror mirror on the wall tells me!

Joking aside, I am something of an anomaly considering my age and how far my male pattern baldness has progressed. I am 24 and well I'm not gonna tell you my norwood scale but I'll say I've been wearing a decent looking piece for a few years (often with a hat) and am beginning to wise up and realize how silly and self concious the whole thing is and how much better I could look. I'm just at the point where I feel there's a lot more to life than sulking around about hair - which we arguably don't need anymore anyways. It's evolution in action really! LOL.

Any NFL fans here? Well there's quite a few shaved noggins on the TV screen on Sunday. How many of you think something to the effect of "man that Tiki Barber character would look better with a head of hair". Well, maybe some of you guys do, but your average viewer probably doesn't. You can substitute Terrell Owens or any other player sporting a shaved look. Many of them look damn good and might even look silly with hair. I'm thinking I could pull the same look if I hit the gym a bit.

And even if I don't come out looking like a complete stud, I just think of these people who deliberately want to look ridicilous and tatoo and pierce their whole bodies from top to bottom to look like reptiles or cats and the like - and people think this kinda thing is cool! And I'm worried about the hair on my head!

Oh are you black? If you are then that's fine, you will probably look better than most with a shaved head. If not, then don't bother comparing yourself to those guys unless you look like Vin Diesel.

I'm of Hispanic descent. My skin tone would probably be comparable to Vin Diesel's LOL. Of course, I'm much skinnier.

But I know people with fair complexions to pull it off too. Surely everyone here knows a light skinned friend with a goatee and bald head who has that 'biker heavy metal look.' That look is sharp too.

I advise bulking up before shaving your head so you don't look like a cancer patient

That's not difficult.

Heh, does it really look bad or are people just gossiping in the grapevine? Does he have the cancer patient look or something like that? I'm sure he could look sharp.

it is more difficult to look good with a shaved head, because then all attention is on your face and some people have badly shaped skulls.

True. While I'm not too sure about the shape of my skull, if it's anything like my face then it would be perfect.

well you won't mind posting pics after you do it so we can really see if it's perfect. if not you're going to made fun of. but if it's really perfect then you have nothing to worry about .

i'm a bit skeptical, mind you, because a poster in another forum on here said that he is good looking like brad pitt and i saw post-transplant pics, and well, he isn't.

Of course I won't have anything to worry about. I'm more worried for the viewers if they will be able to withstand the divine rays of beauty shining forth from my freshly shaved head. :D

Certainly. Very Happy.

//Obviously I am joking. I am merely trying to display the kind of sense of humor and confidence that a man with a shaved head should possess. Too often I feel that I have been selfishly depressed and down about my hair loss when I could embrace it with humor and confidence instead.

Let me share what you really posted, before you edited it. Ooops on you! :D

What you are showing isn't confidence. It's arrogance. There's a very thick line and you managed to cross it.

DOH!

No my friend I am joking and trying to display to anyone reading that even the possibility of going about with a completely shaved head can be embraced in a playful manner instead of being viewed as a dreadful situation.
