I started receding at 15, possibly younger than that. I always thought that was just the way my natural hairline was gonna be, for my grandpa had a very receding hairline at 20 but died at 68 with just as much...and not a grey hair. Next fall when i go away to college should be the time of my life, hopefully my hair will hold up long enough to get through school like my dad did.

Hey guys. Damn good question, I never thought to ask that, but have always been wondering after reading everybody's messages.
28-28-28 for me.
I am curious how people realized, especially the young guy with the good-lookin' avatar. Doesn't look like he went that far, though I am the same way- thinning in the front, and just recently. Came back from studying abroad. thought I would live out my dream and did have fun. But I look at photos of me in April, and I have my regular thick head of hair. I must have lost 50-60%, sparced all over in the front so it isn't TOO noticeable. But I can tell. And all went in just a few months, so I am devistated, and yet hopefully.

I noticed in September, but even as recently as July, I remember styling my hair up and not having any issues. I looked back on photos of myself in June and my hair looked great. Then one day (right after my 27th birthday) I looked at my hairline and saw it went a little higher on the temples and thought 'sh*t, am I balding'? :freaked2:
