How to Apply RU58841

As of today, it is month 5 for me on finasteride, starting in October of last year. I have been lurking a lot on RU58841 posts, and am interested.

Kane's offers it for about $80 shipped to me, which is expensive for a 50ML bottle. My question is, how long does a bottle that size last? How much do I use in an application, and what is the best way to apply it?

How long a 50ml bottle will last depends on the area of application. If you're trying to combat hair loss across your entire scalp versus just the hair line, you'll obviously need to use more. I've read people using anywhere from 0.5ml a day, to 4ml a day.
The other factor to consider is potency. For health reasons, it's recommend to start with a lower dose like 25mg or 50mg per day (IE 1ml of 2.5% or 5% solution), working your way up as necessary. For some people, around 70mg/day is effective without side-effects. Your mileage may vary™.

It's generally recommended to make your own solution as you go.

• More control over exact volume & potency - great for tailoring the treatment to your specific needs.
• RU58841 seems to be unstable when mixed with a vehicle, and quality will degrade over time. Making solution as you go ensures you're getting an accurate dose.
• More cost-effective in the long run than buying pre-mixed solution.

Is RU okay to apply while using finasteride?

I'm really wanting some solid regrowth. Nothing amazing, just a bit above baseline. I don't want to start minoxidil until I'm out of options.

Does RU cause a shed? I haven't seen anyone mentioning that in posts..

From what I've been reading through old posts aswell, you need to really rub it in. Which is a mistake I've been making and applying to the scalp but I also use a 0.5 Dermaroller on my hairline as that's where I'm loosing the most, thinking thats how you apply it.

For the last time, derma rolling isn't for increased absorption and you run the risk of it going systemic.
