How to get adhesive residue out the hair?

A small section of the hair got stuck to the old melted tape when removing it.
I freed it by spray lace release on that area.
However I have sprayed copious amounts of lace release on it trying to get out the adhesive residue.
I shampoo'd it and it still remains.

Will I need to do a complete solvent soak with C22 Solvent. If so,how long? The base is french lace.

Or will some C22 Solvent on some cotton wool ball run through the very sticky parts of the hair do the trick?
Any other tips?

Take a tail comb spray it with isopropanol and careful brush through the hair where the residue is.

This is the biggest b**ch you can encounter wearing hair. People make it out to be easier than it is. If you have a clump of hair that's all glued up together into a dread, all you can do it is add C22, and manually seperate the hair. You need to get your fingers into it all pull all that sh*t apart. It's very annoying and often not even worth doing, depending on how bad it is.

Remove all excess w cotton wool first. Just rub it all over that affected hair/dreadlock. That'll start the process. But you really need to get it oily w something like C22 and manually put the hairs apart. Once you start, you'll see how much glue is in there sticking everything together.
