How To Tell If You're Moving Into Norwood 3?

Is there certain things to look out for if you're going Norwood 3? Reason I say this is because I feel my right temple has moved slightly to high to be considered a traditional Norwood 2 but I'm not sure if it's all in my head. Is the recession and thinning for a Norwood 3 a lot more aggressive than transition to a 2? My recession is stable though it has slowly crept up and I'm not entirely sure if it's still moving further now. It looks solid however I still have a tiny bit of stray hair that looks a bit thinner than the rest on the edges of the hairline.. my left temple is considered to be a Norwood 1/1.5 at the minute though this is likely to catch up to the process eventually.

Caucasian hairline is typically not a straight line across. You actually have a lower and straighter hairline than the Caucasian and zero balding.

Hop on finasteride and minoxidil now and start saving for a trip to Turkey.... Joking your not even receding, enjoy your life as a full head and stop worrying.

Reason I'm paranoid is because my maternal grandmother's father was bald, as was her brother (my great uncle). My actual grandfather's hair is fine.. he's been a full head all his life, same with my dad. The thing that makes me paranoid is the fact my mother's hair resembles more my grandma's than my grandfather. My crown also sits in the exact same spot as my grandmother's does.. i'ts making me increasingly anxious that the gene may have been slyly passed down a couple of generations through the females in my family.

I see zero indication of balding, but if you're really worried you could always get on finasteride. It is the only option for inhibiting balding.

You might be balding in a year, but as of right now - you're not.

You have a mature hairline. This could be the beginning of hairless or it could stay there. Take good pics and monitor for 6 months. If it moves, I'd take finasteride. You can start on 0.5mg if you are worried about sides.

The generational stuff is mostly BS. I have pretty much that hairline and it bothers me. However, I also have far thinner hair than you

Typically if your hairline starts to transition from rounded in the front, to a triangle, or peninsula, you are headed to NW3 territory.

Looks fine for now. Recession at the temple, see miniaturization. But great density. Maybe minoxidil, at the most right now. Keep an eye on it. But I'd kill to have that hair right now, be growing long.

Dude f*** you! Just because I'm not Norwood 5 or typically pronounced balding doesn't mean you have the right to constantly speak to me like I'm a piece of sh*t on the end of your shoe. Do you make the rules for this site or something? Because to you, it seems as though anyone under a Norwood 3 is automatically categorised as a dick and someone who should be shunned by the entire community.

I'll be honest with you man, without a transplant even all the estrogen in the world couldn't save you.

Hit the gym, inject estro and get a transplant is your only hope brah

You're a NORWOOD ZERO. Get OUT OF HERE!

Seriously, why are you complaining.

You're not EVEN a ONE yet. A ZERO.

Shut up.

He is a Norwood Zero. I think people on this board are teasing him.

I also think he's mentally ill.

I take that back. You're NOT mentally ill.

There is some recession on your left temple.

Here's the thing, though. You have to go from Norwood 1 -> 2, before you can get to three!

Even people who don't have male pattern baldness get thinning hair as they age. I wonder if you took finasteride from 15 - 65 as a non-genetically balding person you'd end up with teenage hair.

Honestly if I knew the suffering of balding as I do now as an 18 year old I would have taken finasteride as a precaution even before I started losing. Easily worth it.
