Nope but somebody told me not take any thing cause it might cause more harm then plus they were very knowledgeable on the subject

You will have to decide how much you care about your hair. Finasteride didn't work for me because I got too many side effects. I still don't know if they are permanent. But I would still recommend looking into it and doing your own research before you decide. Rogaine alone will not save you. If you have male pattern baldness and you do not start an anti androgen you will go bald to some degree, it is inevitable. Tons and tons of people use finasteride and experience no sides or damage to their bodies. The one person who told you it would harm you may be very knowledgable, as are many doctors and many people on this forum. But no one can tell you if it will for sure harm you or not. It would be smart to do your own research and make your own decision, but that depends on how much you want to keep your hair.

I'll probably just start with something simple if I continue to shed 50 plus hairs for the meantime ill just wait for my semester to end before I go to any derm

Update I just shed over 50 hairs in the shower I'm pretty sure I'm going bald now

Im 2 years older than you and shed easily 200+ in the shower lol. When I was ur age I never noticed a single hair in showers, so if you are 19 now then its possible that in a couple of years it could get noticeable and make a cosmetic difference. But also knowing that ur dad is only a NW2 at his age I probably would not get on finasteride if I were you.
