Hyper-andro to finasteride almost equal to no-responding to finasteride?

"persistent hyper-andro" to finasteride = "no-responding to finasteride"?

  • yes, I'm a living proof of non-skin hyper-andro with *no good* response

  • No, I'm a living proof of skin hyper-andro with *good* response. Hmmm?

Hi,
This is my researching conclusion now:

Hyper-andro to finasteride *almost* equal to no-responding to finasteride. and sometimes can even make things worse.

I was *suprised* to find out three facts from reading everyones' stories:

1.People who claim no success with finasteride, more than usually, aslo claim hyper-andro reactions(oiler scalp/face;body hair increase, zits) to the drug.
2.And more than usually, people who claim having hyper-andro symptoms envetually do not report good results on finasteride.
3.People who claim to have drier skin, decresed body hair, more than usually report good responses from finasteride.

At first I myself was thinking it's just coincidence, but after reading( and researching!) hundreds of posts in alt.baldspot and here, I think the link between "hyper-andro" and "response" is not only existant but also strong.

I'm serious on this.
Search these people's posts:Jeffss, Sir_LagaLot, ryanfrank... with key word "oil" or "oily". All of them reported oiler scalp/face after on Propecia. This side-effects failed to subside on them, and they never have luck with propecia alone.

However, the key is: Hyper-andro for a moment is not important. It's important if your hyper-andro does or does not subside.

And I think the most harmful hyper-andro is oiler scalp, then oiler face, then body hair increase, then spots on face, the last one is increased libido(this sometimes doesn't seems to matter too much, as it is not reacted by skin)

Any living proof matchs/againsts my assert?

(For those who want to against this assert, yes you may have had sucess with this sympertems, but please note: do you on something else like minoxidil?)

I think its more like hypochondriac = nonresponder to finasteride.

So the 17% non-respondors are all hypochondriac. I don't think so.

I'm just researching how we can know finasteride is not working as expected on us.
We need to becareful because finasteride CAN make things WORSE if you have lasting hyper-andro reaction to it. If you think you have hyper-andro reactions, you need to judge if you are in this risk.

Till now, I don't see any good by using finasteride. And I have an oiler scalp.

So I researched, and supprisingly, I found out almost EVERY ONE report have an oiler scalp that doesn't subside have no luck to this drug.

I myself know it does sound "hypochondriac", but I'm seriously think there's a link. And I can say the link is somewhat *obviouse* from my researching.

Here I quote one guy's post on alt.baldspot:

I've been on proscar for 15 months, and I wish I never tried it.
My hair looks like crap.
This drug does work for people and I'm pissed I'm not one of them.
Stay on it for another 3 months if nothing stop it.
Don't keep going thinking just a couple of more months.
Or you'll end up pissed like me.
Get on minoxidil.

Before you buy.

Once again, any living proof against this assert?

And please take 3 seconds DO THE POLL, even you don't believe it. Let's see if we can find something.

No, I was referring to you and the other people who freak out at every little thing in their life and blame it on propecia. If you dont want to take it fine, and if you are one of the very small percentage of people who have legitimate side effects Im sorry, but thats no reason to put all these posts up trying to scare other people away from something that could positively affect their life.

Any real scientist would laugh at the joke of your research. Try a clinical study with some sort of way to measure this "hyper andro" which sounds like a complete fantasy. Come back in a year after you have measure results of a thousand people or so. This poll is ridiculous, and can no way accurately measure any type of scientific hypothesis.

Hi Thin,
I understand your point.

I still have my point. But I won't post it here again, because indeed you are right such post may scare someone new to this drug.

Please see my reply to Johnny24601 in another thread, http://www.gourmetstylewellness.com/discussions ... 900#220900
The same thing I want to reply to you.

Please fogive me if I impacted some one's faints on this drug too early.

But I do not regret to have posted my thought here, as I think it might be informative for those who don't react well to finasteride after giving finasteride enough time.

However I too think this kind of post shouldn't be the marjority posts in the broad.

Thank you.
