True but being bald is the end when it comes to attentiveness. Idk what's worst between being bald (ugly) and take dangerous medication
I already got a permanent side effect due to finasteride. And none of it works for my hair. I dont think any of these meds are worth it.

You know what the best treatment is? No treatment. Why put a bandaid on something that happens naturally and is harmless for your health?
only strange that you are here on a hairloss forum..........why not enjoy your bald head ?......

as i don`t loose hair anymore, i say good by now.....only answered here because of a comercial, that i get still from time to time........

with your attitudes, it will be very difficult for anybody to help you
seems you lost your fights already, before you even have started......wish you a long med free healthy bald live...enjoy :)

ok, but every person is different, some unlucky ones get sides, most not.......not every medication works for everyone...and so on and so on
i tried a lot over long years, research chemicals and so on....most of the stuff didn`t did anything, was only a big waste of money.....
at the end i found my "cure"...wish you the same and good luck....

Thanks for sharing your journey and the detailed regimen you’ve been following. At 23, it’s tough to experience early balding, but it’s great that you’ve been proactive in seeking solutions.

Your current topical treatment combination seems pretty comprehensive, covering DHT inhibition (finasteride), scalp health (minoxidil, ketoconazole), and inflammation control (progesterone, hydrocortisone). Many people have had success with a similar approach, especially combining minoxidil with DHT blockers. However, with the additional ingredients, it seems like you're targeting multiple angles to slow down the progression.

Given that you've been using this treatment for about six months, I’d recommend continuing to monitor for any changes in hair density and shedding. Sometimes, it takes time for results to become apparent, so patience is key. If you haven't seen significant improvement, or if shedding seems to increase, it may be worth discussing with a dermatologist or hair specialist. They could help evaluate if the current treatment is optimal or if tweaking the regimen might yield better results.

Also, if you're experiencing any irritation from the topical treatments, it’s important to evaluate whether any of the ingredients could be causing side effects. If you’re feeling unsure about your progress, consulting a professional might help guide you to the next step.

Hang in there, and I hope your treatment continues to show results!

Best,
Nathan

UPDATE
Hello everyone, I got the blood tests that I did to understand the situation as I'm taking oral finasteride and am experiencing non-negligible erection problems: morning/early morning erections disappeared, erection difficult to get and maintain with direct stimulation, watery eiucalyptus. I remember that I did about 1½ months at 1mg ED, then switched to 1mg EOD, finally seeing that the erections did not improve to 0.5 EOD, for a total of about 4 months of treatment. Despite the low dose the ED did not improve, in fact perhaps worsened.

JULY 2024 (examinations before starting topical treatment)

JULY 2025 (after 6 months of topical fina then discontinued for oral)

This time I had more comprehensive hormone examinations. The endocrinologist told me to stop the finasteride as it was definitely causing the problems and to repeat the examinations one month after stopping. The hair situation seemed to be improving with oral finasteride but the ED problems are quite serious and I would not want to risk them remaining if I continue the therapy for another few months.

At this point the options are:
1. Discontinue all therapy and accept chronic hair loss (not ideal, I would go into depression)
2. Continue with oral fina and accept a penis that no longer works
3. Opt for topical fina again (in 6 months it didn't seem to do much at 0.3% but didn't give me any sides)

What do you recommend?

Switch back to topical. Its better than nothing. Start using oral minoxidill too.

Oral minoxidil? Isn't it an overkill? What about combining topical finasteride and oral natural DHT blocker such as Serenoa repens?
Bro. Oral minoxidil is not overkill in your case. You are balding badly you need to try it. I myself use oral min twice a day. Some dont respond good to topical but respond better to oral. Dont be a pussy and get on it. Natural dht blockers in your severe case wont do anything. Btw 0.3% topical finasteride is a huge dose and will nuke your serum dht by alot. It definately will go systemic so how you dont have sides is beyond me. If I use too much topical finasteride I get sides. Maybe your shitty formula dont penetrate good into your scalp hence (no results)

Dedivad— What do these numbers mean?
Start with Testosterone..
We all know generally what a good number is… but the numbers/ratios you cite are unknown to me…
That said: The idea of cutting down Testosterone to regrow hair & DHT to practically zero isn’t a good idea long run.. There are more factors involved..
I am investigating & testing…

I wasn't pussy with oral finasteride and I got an almost dead dick, I wouldn't like an almost dead heart ahah. Btw I have no idea how I can obtain oral min, no doctor will ever prescribe it here.

I used 0.3% topical finasteride for six months and I did not get sides. Maybe I would have gotten them if I had continued with the application for more months. In Italy there is only one 0.25% industrial product commercialized, I think my doctor will prescribe it. What about combining oral natural blocker + topical finasteride?

It was a galenic product, therefore it may be as you are saying...

They are from an Italian lab. Do yuo want me to translate them to which unit measure?

1200 .. Maximum

U in US or EU? I dont buy the pills bro I drink the topical solution like many others do to save money. One old man was on the minoxidil pills for years and switched to topical solution drops (orally) and said it worked just as good for him. Once again you are a pussy. Low dose oral min wont kill you. Ask any doctor. You arent serious or comitted to saving your hair so just shave it.
