I finally told the GF about finasteride...

Okay well I have been taking finasteride since march of 2005. No one knows about my regimen, except my Mom/Dad... So, me and my girlfriend are going on a trip in two weeks...and ofcourse, I have to bring my finasteride with me. We have never talked about my "thining" up until two days ago, when I told her all about my hairloss regimen.

It was ironic, we were talking about the jose theodore thing...and I knew she would ask me about the meds I have in my luggage and I just didn't want to hide them anymore.

So I told her...and she seemed shocked.
She replied with something like this: " I never would have known! Sometimes I notice that your hair seems rather thick, but I never mentioned anything".

In the end, she was very supportive and listened to what I had to say carefully and didn't judge me whatsoever... I feel alot better now, especially knowing that my regimen is working.

Oh yeah, then I got laid shortly after.

Telling my girlfriend about my hairloss and doing something about it is the best thing I've done so far. Her support and non-judgemental attitude put my mind at ease...and I also got laid shortly thereafter...

The problem now is if you ever try to go out there and get a new GF your gonna have to go through the same thing all over again, be realistic do you guys really think the GF you got now is the one your gonna spend the next 40, 50, 60, or even the next 3-6 years? Kind of a scary thought when any relationship can end at any point and even worse if that point you've been hit rock bottom with your hairloss and then you realize she sucked up the very last years of your life you were ever going to have a decent amount of hair left and now your a NW7 looking for a new GF who hopefully doesn't notice your bald head :?

Admittedly, I have hair loss that (for whatever reason – styling and extent of loss I guess) is undetectable to your average person unless they’re really looking for it or I actively show them. However, I have been battling my hair loss for over 3 years and I have never had a problem picking up or playing around with the chicks. Hell – for the two years between my last long term girl and the current one I was laying girls left right and centre, Norwood or not.

Sure, if you’re 22 and slick bald then maybe male pattern baldness might get in the way of you meeting new chicks of 19 years or so. However, if you’ve got some mild temple recession or a slightly thinning crown (like me) – at 28, girls don’t even seem to notice. Work on keeping your bod in great shape and make the most of what you can with your face.

If you’re a good looking bloke, in great shape, polite and considerate with a good job, even the hottest chicks won’t bat an eyelid at the little bit of Norwooding you may have up top!

You do have a point there... but im done having my flings. I've had a steady relationship for 3 years now and I hope to settle down soon. It all comes down to a girl liking you for who you are. If my gf thought my hairloss would be a problem in the future, I would have ended it... out of all the w****s/skanks/bioches out there, there are a few good ones left! I think im lucky.. Also, the fact that she never even noticed the extent of my hairloss is a bonus. It has to be a combination of my regimen and the way i style my hair to make it virtually undetectable.
