I Found Something Worse Than Hairloss

One day when trying to visit this site, I accidentally mistyped a letter.

I ended up on this forum called AirLossTalk forum. The people there, have terrible disease called air loss.
This disease is caused by them not having the necessary 5-AIR enzyme to extract oxygen from air.
Even worse, the diagnosis there for everyone is the same. You have a maximum 5 minutes to live.
I feel very sorry for those people. They get treated rude in public with comments like:

"It's just air, just inhale bro."
and
"Get an oxygen tank, grow some gills and move to the water, man."

They can temporarily transfer some air to your lungs in a procedure known as an Air Transplant, but it's very expensive and sometimes a lot of the air escapes before your body can even use it.

The only drugs that can help them are Finastairide and Minoxygen. But they are old and crappy.
There is some hope from new scientists to manufacture this enzyme, but the research is slow and underfunded.

So just remember and be thankful to your body for being able to enjoy air.

What I don't get is the social stigma of airloss compared to what VAT people get. VAT people charge you 10 to 23% depending on the country, but they get away with it by the consideration that it is needed, they can't help it. They CAN. Just don't do the receipt. If only it were so easy for air people...

I agree. But like I said in another thread. I don't see the point in these comparisons.
It's not like you get to pick and choose and then say "Yeah, I'll rather take hair loss than 3rd degree burns".
It's also not like saying "Well, I have hair loss, but at least I don't have <any other worse disease>" makes your current situation any better.
And also, even if you were in near perfect health, you'd still have a lot of other things to worry about like managing your income, family, and other things, so any health problem, even if "just" hair loss, only adds to the pile of things you have to worry about.

Besides this logic of comparing everything with cancer is ridiculous. When you complain about a problem and people say "Oh well, x has cancer and he is still positive and..." thus your problem is made insignificant because his problem is worse? Good thing the medical community doesn't think this way.
