What school, if you don't mind me asking??

It's a university in New York.

Thanks for your support guys!

I'm excited to begin a new life and career in the Northeast. I really think that getting away from Las Vegas will help in all aspects of my life.

I'm going to buy a puppy today for my girlfriend, and I couldn't feel more accomplished than I am now.

Thank you everyone.

Thank you.

Godbless :)

I'm going from this NEW YORK,

Good stuff Aplunk. I'm a Northeast guy myself...Boston.

You'll love it out here. It'll be a change of pace from Vegas but with a new life in a new place, it'll be very exciting for you. Congrats man!!

Hey man,

and old ex of mine is attending NE University, and one of these days I'm going to come up to Boston to check it out.

I've already visited the university I've been accepted to, and I love it.

You're right.... I KNOW that things are going to be very different... but sometimes change is good, and, in my case, probably better.

Thank you again.

I'll try to get some pics up of the puppy later today.

We are going to rescue one from a kill shelter.

I think that the grass is always greener elsewhere, but I would never again live in the northeast. I grew up outside Boston and lived there for 18 years, then about 5 years in New York State. Now I am down in Atlanta, and the sunbelt is much better, no comparison, would never return to the old, crowded and very expensive northeast with terrible winters and people who are just as cold. BTW, I am not trying to dampen anything for you, but there are hordes of people who feel the same way. NYS and Mass. are ranked 50 and 49 respectively for population growth. It is not hard for me to see why. And I can live with out New Yorkers (those who live in "The City") anyday.

Good luck.

Plunker,

Fanfu*kingtastic! Atta boy! I'm excited for you (not in a gay way).

It's tough to make a big decision like that but it's extremely liberating once you do. You've got your sh*t together and are ready to take names. I forecast great things for you ahead, my friend.

Again, congratulations and TWO THUMBS UP!

PS: Watch out for the Jersey skanks.

Nice to hear my man!

Doing something like this is going to be one of the best things for you, and give you a completely new outlook on everything.

Im in the same boat, but don't know how i'll go yet. I'm looking at getting into the university (that's what you call college in the US right?) of my dreams to study medicine - so maybe later I'll be able to sort through all this online drug talk!

"Seriously baby, I can prescribe anything I want..."

Dude...great news....

But I dont wanna dampen your spirits by giving you this friendly advice...

Getting into University is just a small step. Now you have four..maybe more years of rigorous studies ahead...You cant let hairloss move away your concentration...Study hard...Good luck

I have some friends that just moved from south of the Mason-Dixon line to NJ - about an hour outside of NYC and they love it. People are very friendly. Having spent a lot of time there myself - I concur.

No arguement about the wnters though.

APlunk, if you don't mind me asking, were you working and decided to go to college and get a degree, or are you coming straight from high school?

I've been working full-time since the age of 17.

I had my first apartment when I first turned 18, in high school.

wow, that was a fast reply :)

Well the reason I'm asking is because I too decided to go back to school and get a degree. I got a diploma first, had troubles finding a decent job, then decided to get a degree....

So I can sort of relate to your situation.... I got accepted into a very good college (university of toronto) last year and trust me, I felt just as good as you're feeling right now, knowing I'm making steps in the right direction...

best of luck to you....
