I couldnt take it anymore, the constant managing of it, all the different routines to keep it from itching, flaking, thin bits showing and styling to hide it or make it look not thinning and just the getting down seeing it thin when its longer.

I shaved it and tbh i suit it a lot more than i did when i last shaved it when i was 14, it will be so much easier to apply stuff now and hopefully with less pulling about and trying to style it into weird shapes, it might get a chance to heal and regrow.

will keep you updated

Nice! Glad it turned out to look good on you. Always a bonus,.. worst case scenario in your life now is you will look like you do now. Which turns out isn't so bad,..

If I could get away with shaving my head and it look fairly 'normal' for my face/head shape (no idea if it would).. I would have considerably less worry/anxiety about hair loss. I'd probably still take steps to keep what I've got .. but it would ease the "burden" in my mind anyway.

I'm sort of , of the type that would like a nice close shaven head (not razor, but a no guard clipper) -- simply for ease of use. I've had a shaven head when I was a teenager,.. like you, and I remember hopping out of the shower and shaking my head and bam, done. So convenient.

How old are you?

Also, be interesting to see a before and after picture. With hair, and now without.

I know that it certainly isn't a worse environment for the scalp to be shaven vs having gobs of hair.. in terms of health and regeneration. Any topical treatments (stimulants or just nizoral, zinc, etc..) should really be the most effective at the follicular level now. :)
