WOW...this is why I don't gel my hair anymore...this is my hair @ its absolute worst...drenched in water...I promised myself I wouldn't cry...but this is just so fuken nauseating to look at....Im 18 and im a grandpa!!! :shock: :x

I think if you cut it shorter you'll be happier with your self. oh, and no more gel!
you can still style it with something. the best stuff i've found is got2b chaotic. it's like a light putty. leaves hair looking dry.

or.. just blow dry it and leave it.

Jeff thanks for the tip...I have stopped using gel for over a year because I saw this same image with an overhead mirror before...wtf is this is this severe diffuse thinning, is this male pattern baldness wuts happening to me?!?! How bad is this for thinning @ age 18

I'm no expert but i'm sure when dry is hardly noticable. You've a good hairline even if the pics don't make it clear. Not many are going to be hanging above you and looking down at the top of your head. Keep it short and you'll feel better. God knows a lot of people can probably see their scalp when their hair is wet.

Well...the good newd for today is for some reason my hair seems to be really resilient to falling out...more so than normal...i plucked out 1 really fucked up hair tho....the bulb seemed to be like 5x bigger than normal, and the hair was like bent in multiple places rather than being straight as my hair normally is.....anyone know why? In addition lots of wispy hairs are being shed...maybe just maybe this is a good omen.

So dont worry about it, sucker up, and wait for your treatments to kick in, youll be A-OK.

Lol guys I would, i really would love to but i got a fuken really long *** head...like really long and thin check some other pics...its kinna adam sandler shape but a good % of it comes from the forehead...f*** me

Stay cool, mate, finasteride is a good boy at thickening that kind of thinning.

Give it 1y+, use nizoral and minoxidil and you´ll be in a very good shape. I bet my right hand you will.

I don´t think your hair looks that bad wen dry, keep it same lenght as the pic and you´ll look fine. Remember you took the pics under a flash light.


By the way, my hair looks almost exactly as yours when I was 18. I wore lenght shoulder hair, and my part became wider and wider and I had to cut it. It was horrible. I had a huge bald spot in the vertex and diffuse all over. Now after treatments it is looking quite good. It took me a great deal of patience and anxiety, but it deserves the effort.

what do you attribute your bald spot filling in to? I have a good sized bald spot but there are many hairs growing. The hairs are just very light and unpigmented. Did minoxidil work very well for you in this regard?

I don´t know for sure, but I was using minoxidil a year before finasteride and nizoral, without significant results. In fact hair kept thinning. Since I added finasteride everything went uphill. But maybe it´s the big 3 combo what´s really working.

Lately (a month ago) I have changed my morning minoxidil application to zix. Z slightly different zix, with a B-complex multivitamin instead of b6 alone. Since then my results are significantly better than ever. I currently continue using minoxidil 1x day in the night.

I´m going to post some before/after pics as soon as possible.

ur hair looks kinda similar to mine mb a bit worse but i haev mine looking aight by

1) blowdring my hair

2) using this light wax... none of that heavy gel that makes it look terrible

3) using toppik over the top

it looks thick and full after this... only i know the truth

Sorry, I guess I should put that in my profile...just a preemptive attack of 1mg Propecia monthly for now...Just finished my 5th month, doing 1 more month, and going to my derm for reevulation and probably another 6 month supply. Thank you for your compliment.
