All male pattern baldness treatments are tested on the vertex, never hairlines.
I stand corrected. All male pattern baldness treatments should be tested on the vertex, never hairlines.
Nope, the hairline is a poor place to test a treatment. Vertex is the best, which is why most real Androgenetic Alopecia treatments whether its finasteride, minoxidil, or even Aderans or Follica, focus on that location in clinical trials.

LOL, what? So a receding hairline doesn't count as androgenic alopecia? Is the hairline less important than the vertex?
Where did I say this?
I don't need to explain myself, why do you act victimized?. You tell me, you've been on the forums for a while, why is it that Follica, Aderans, and Merck all test the crown/vertex area for efficacy? When Tsuji and Shiseido run their next trials, they won't be treating hairlines. Are they fools? Forum members on the other hand all test their experimentals on the hairline.

Sounds like they only plan to test it on the vertex...seems kinda odd.
Here's hoping it's tested on receding hairlines in phase III.

Given that (especially in the former's case) they aim to restore an entire head of hair, what reason is there to believe they wouldn't test this on the hairline or temples.
Here's my citation. You pointed it out yourself.
